Some very old OBDII adapters have to be manually switched to see all of the modules. The newest ones switch automatically. Could that be it?

I left mine in the full sun for about 30 minutes. They came right off. It didn't damage the stickers and they can be re-applied somewhere else or put on an old piece of sticker backing and placed in a sealed bag. There was no glue residue or anything that needed to be scraped.
