I just rewired mine to match the in series 6Volt suggestion. Wire 1 should go to your aux switch, wires 2&3 get tied together, wire 4 to ground. Worked perfectly for me.
I installed my disconnect in a Black Diamond a few months ago, have only had a chance to use it a few times. Your theory makes sense to me, I rewired mine to match yours in series 6v each and it seems to be working fine after testing it a few times. I agree that both solenoids should be...
Just some food for thought on another poster's wiring change. I think it makes a lot of sense.
He believes that the solenoids should be powered in series so they are at 6V instead of parlallel 12V each and they wont get as hot. I plan on changing my wiring as soon as I have some time, should...
Mine was working fine as well set to disabled which left the rear 12V powerpoint active all the time.
Something changed as forscan still says disabled. I tried enabling, changing timeout, etc. No change. It immediately goes off once the Bronco is turned off.
Anybody have any ideas? I have...
I just did this install on my 2.7 4 door Black Diamond, very easy thanks to all the tips on the forum and the great video from SFR.
I bought the swaybar from Ford OEM Parts.
I used the ebay connector linked above, worked great.
I used this sleeve from Amazon to cover the wire from the connector...
If you are just looking for the 5th pin for reverse which is all I needed (not a full 7 pin only a 5 pin), I bought this plug and play kit from Diode Dynamics. It does two things for me, I have a pair of extra lights near the hitch that are plugged into this wiring kit. They turn on when I am...
Ordered from Stickerfab multiple times, great unique stuff. Had an issue on one order where incorrect overlay was sent (led vs halogen taillight thing). Quick to correct, will buy from them again.
Rear diff with new Ford Performance cover, Front diff, transfer case complete at 23k miles. No pics, but rear diff was nasty, front diff not bad but pasty plug, transfer case pretty clean with red tint. All straightforward thanks to CarbonSteel, thx!! Only difficult thing was modifying the...
I dont have these, so no review on them, but here is a link to the mesh windows made by Mastertop

Awesome!! I was bitching about it and my teenage son kept sending me texts just to annoy me while we were driving down the road. He will have to find a new way to get under my skin!
I have the DV8 Diff skid currently installed, purchased the performance cover but have not had time to install yet. How much modifying on the skid did you have to do and did you create a hole on the bottom to allow for draining without removing the skid (or maybe the drain hole sticks out far...
Missing OP's point, he has a soft top. None of the covers, including Ford's, will work without mods like I did. You would have to take the soft top completely off to use standard tonneau covers, then you aren't in safari mode anymore.
I bought this cargo cover on Amazon and modified it a lot. Added some velcro to attach it to sides and back. It sits on top of the soft top rail on the back and sides via velcro. Obviously no side or rear windows in. I also cut 4 holes toward the front of the vehicle and use the back seat...
This looks like another opportunity for @StickerFab to create a sheet of labels to cover the backlit portion (once original AUX numbers sanded/rubbed off) just like already made for the buttons themselves.
I have the Ford Performance diff cover en route. Didn't think about it, but do you know if you can use the existing factory reusable gasket with the performance cover?
