I am so happy with my 2.3L 10-speed w/ SAS setup. It's very quick off the line for something rolling on 35s, and has plenty of power for off roaring. I've done some fun whoops at Big Bend National Park at a good speed, and never felt like it was struggling to keep up.
It's great on the...
I've got a Badlands with the High package and had the same concerns as OP. The pre-collision alert would beep at the same parked car on the side of a main road almost every day, but there was no evidence of any other safety intervention until I was leaving work one day and it saved me from...
Terrific writeup - thank you for the thorough explanation!
I do remember wire harnesses being a major shortage when trouble began in Ukraine, where a lot of those parts were being manufactured, on top of the already crazy chip shortages in Taiwan. That seemed to inflate used vehicle values as...
Holy cow that's an awesome deal!!! I just backed out of the one here in Texas because the fenders weren't body-matched (the photos were really washed out, making it difficult to see).
I'd jump on that Criswell Braptor if I lived closer. One of the reasons I was interested in the unit here in...
Hey, all.
Context
Ford has been issuing rebates to dealers all over my area to discount MY24 Bronco Raptors, and I have a deposit to hold one in my area that the dealer is selling for just under 81k.
Normally I'd never spend this kind of money on a brand new vehicle since it will depreciate...
I'm having mine replaced for a host of issues (rattling, incorrectly sized washers that gouged out my paint, window coming unglued, not tracking correctly when closing).
Was the noise from your replacement due to wind, or the fitment of the top itself? I want to be able to look out for issues...
Do you know how much the shipping costs? Or do they just take the destination fee and have the vehicle sent straight to you? When I took delivery of my 22 Badlands in Manor, TX, the dealer insisted on a PDI before releasing it to me (killed me having to wait 2 additional days).
It did work for a few months, though it didn't lay perfectly flat. Somebody ended up smashing my window, and jumping through by pushing off on the fender flare, so insurance replaced the whole assembly.
I'd replace as much as you can if you plan on wheeling in mud or water, just to protect...
I snagged these last week on sale, and they've been one of my favorite improvements to the Bronco! No more using my phone's flash to look around for things in the dark.
Install was easy - under an hour (I had to remove my bimini mesh sunshade to properly tuck the wires above the airbags), and...
Could not agree more on all points. After following the UAW strike this past year, it broke my heart to learn that so many factory workers had been considered "temps" despite working the same number of hours as their "full time" counterparts for as long as a decade (but not receiving health or...
Yeah, if reliability is your top priority, then an American-made vehicle isn't where anybody should be aiming their wallet. The 2024 Tacoma has notoriously suffered widespread transmission failures, in what is a rare misstep for the auto maker. That said, blind support for domestic manufacturing...
Some of us here are jaded, and spend a lot of time on this forum; ignore them. If you were talking to them in person, I'm sure they'd be decent - but it's hard to remember we're all people when we're just exchanging text on a screen.
I like this explainer video from RTR, which explains the pros...
Without the ability to remove the rear windows, I'm not interested. $5,000 for a top that steals even more rear visibility when folded, has smaller windows that don't come out, and is harder to fully remove from the vehicle is not a winning feature set for me personally, but there are likely...
It's a tough engineering problem to solve, but I tend to agree; this does not look good. Rear visibility here appears even poorer than when the OEM soft top is fully retracted.
I think the main benefit here is that you don't need to remove the soft windows in order to fully retract the top.
There's no excuse for the Bronco Raptor nor having a digital rearview mirror, given how useless the rear window is with a 37" and a larger 3rd brake light crowding the view. Even the new Tacoma has this feature, and it doesn't even have rear visibility issues.
