I would also recommend the eibachs. Had them on before I switched to ride shocks and am considering going back to them. They were great on road and amazing off road. Had them set to sas ride height initially then adjusted them to add some lift. You also don’t need to disassemble anything to...
Nice rig! You have me a little concerned because I have the same rack. Do you mind sharing where it sheared in half? How much weight do you keep on it?
I have the awning bracket flipped upside down to keep it lower than the roof rack. The only thing that sits higher than the roof rack itself is the bracket, which is like .25” thick.
Replace the “air” in the airbags with helium. That way, you get some extra lift and when you get into a crash and go to yell at the other driver it’ll be hilarious
I’m glad they worked out for you. Mine have been stiff as hell- on road, it’s borderline too rough, and off-road they are just dangerous to drive over anything moderately off-camber. Accutune said I should send mine back for a revalve, but I’m honestly just considering going back to the Eibach...
I was finally able to test the suspension out on the trail today and took some notes on how they feel. Gonna copy and paste them below and at the end describe what I am hoping for with a revalve. If @AccuTune Offroad or anyone else with experience can chime in and let me know if that sounds...
When this happened to me it was due to a wire short in the back of the driver side front wheel well. There is a harness that passes over the edge of a body panel there and my oversized tires crunched it when I hit a few whoops too hard. I never had an issue till running the rubicon, and it must...
Glad your wife and dogs are safe. Where were your dogs in the accident? I’m always scared our dogs will fly out in an accident if they’re not restrained in the back seat
Can this be installed on a tailgate that has reinforced hinges, like the RTR or IAG tailgate reinforcement, or will I need to go back to my stock tailgate hinges?
So I decided I’m going to send the rear shocks back to be revalved. Waiting on the expedition one rear bumper to come in a few weeks. Once I get that installed then I will get it weighed and make measurements and send the rears back to accutune.
Wow I wish the dealerships around me were this fast and helpful. Seems every time I have an issue it takes weeks to even figure out what’s going on. Glad to hear you’ve got it taken care of.
