I felt the Jeep was much easier to steer, ie lighter, in tighter spots. My JLUR less so than my YJs and TJ's. No disrespect to anyone but I'd rather walk than drive a Renegade.
Never had a Gladiator but had many Wranglers over the years. I'll always be a Jeep fan but these, admittedly, drive sooooo much better and zero regrets. The thing I miss most about the Jeep is its maneuverability around town and in parking lots but that's quickly forgotten when I'm on the...
Totally agree. Don't forget we're also comparing a car that can be left in the elements and hosed out to one that you'd be f'd if you left the sunroof open in a storm.
Fair! My buddy had a Subaru Legacy in high school and we took it to construction sites. Surprisingly solid off-roader until you got it stuck and realized they aren't built with tow hooks.
Another way to look at it is- if a Bronco took that kind of damage, how much worse would it have been in a low, compact car. Also, he might've just been letting a good kid enjoy a drive in the Bronco and an accident happened? I hear ya but cars can be replaced easier than kids.
First off, congrats on the new Bronco though sorry to hear your concerns. I would think any sound differences would be negligible and, if anything, tilt in favor of the OB. Regarding the windows, they are frameless doors so the window should seat itself when doors are closed and windows are...
I'm coming from a 4xe that was pretty quick. I've been fine with the torquey little 2.3 in my BB. Also, not a hard core off-roader and wanted something I could build on if the fever caught me so I simply replaced the factory pizza slicer wheels with K02's as I think they drive really nice...
It's a great time to be shopping for a Bronco and a rough time to have buyer's remorse. I bought a 4 door BB a few months ago and immediately regretted not going 2 Door with 2.7 so shopped it around and, while deals were great to buy, didn't mitigate the bath I'd take on the 4 door. Live...
I had K02's on my Wrangler and loved the ride but felt the braking sucked. I put the Destination X/Ts on my Bronco and found them to be a solid tire. Firestone also offered a 5th free so I could match the spare- all I did was ask.
Coming from 5 Jeeps, most recently a Sahara 4Xe, I agree that it's a better all-arounder but I do miss the turning feel in the Jeep for around town driving. Also, maybe it's just mental but this thing seems sooooo much bigger than my Jeep. I love the frameless windows when they're down but...
I moved from various Audis and BMWs with an old TJ down to a JLUR to a Bronco only. It's great- IFS makes it perfect for a daily. I'm one of thos weirdos that actually liked the way the Jeep drove around town. It sucked on the highway. I feel like the Bronco is an ideal combo.
I have a BB, not a BL but FWIW, I should've gone BL. I would take MGV on a Bronco every day because I like my top off, I have kids and a wife who are hard on things, I(My wife) have a fancy German car with ventilated seats(ie crumb sucking voids). After years of overpaying for nice cars, I...
I liked my JL interior. The Bronco has been fine- no complaints. I chose a Big Bend and wanted a bit spartan. The JL had soft rubber in places like around the screen, came standard with dual climate and felt a bit more upscale but not fancy. Regardless, I certainly wasn't expecting luxury...
