Installed the @WolfBox this morning. Took me right around 2.5 hours. Went off without a hitch. Not going to do a super involved walk through since more qualified people have already done so, thank you @RustysBronco & @TheLawnDart & @Ninjak for all of your guidance.
Went the hardwire route...
I know how annoying it is wanting to do a project and you find out you don't have all the pieces. I just hooked up the add a fuse wiring, did some other prep and took a break for another cup of coffee and now getting back in to it. Good luck.
Thank you for the clarity, this is my first foray into a dashcam. So then I just have to determine if there will be too much activity around my vehicle during my workday downtown. And/or just use the dongle method and forgo sentry mode.
No I get it, it just seems like a flawed application then if we have to worry about that everytime our vehicle is parked on a busy road for a few hours.
That doesn't seem right to me. Why would they create a powering method (hardwire) and have that safety feature ( sentry which many want) that would/could drain a battery in a day like that?
Rob, how did they send you said update? Via email? How are you getting it uploaded into your mirror? Just anticipating in case I have the same issue. One would think if someone bought a mirror in the past two weeks (me) then I wouldn't need it as it should have the latest and greatest software...
Well that tracks. I have seen a few views from inside and I think it will suit me. I'm not too worried about low down vision. Anything will be better than the current mirror I suspect. If not, I'll try it outside.
Thanks
My OEM backup camera gets very messy with rain/snow/dirt and then the functionality is pretty bad. Why would this camera be any different if you mount it outside? I am intending to mount mine just inside to avoid that very issue. Isn't any harder to mount it outside, I just don't want to run...
I have seen more than one person comment that they get bad night glare on the Wolfbox mirror when they are mounted outside. I am mounting inside, but I don't have the molle problem David does. And actually, I think the minor tint on the back OEM window is what prevents getting night glare on the...
My 2022 started throwing all kinds of codes and lighting the dash up like a Christmas tree about two or three months ago. Battery voltage showed fine most of the time. They finally got the warnings to go on for them at the dealer, were able to record it and therefore replace my battery under...
Good chance it is this. Been documented on here for a year or so.
Take a look at the below thread. @AK SNO RIDER figured out what it was. The rattle is a poor design by Ford, something isn't loose. There is a strip of plastic in the rail that doesn't run the whole length so when the seat is in...
My dealership literally just ordered one for me two weeks ago and it arrived last week. Maybe the backorder thing is brand new? When did they tell you that?
