LATEST UPDATE: Dealer replaced the transmission valve body for a second time within 800 miles of driving on the first replacement. Iām not convinced itās fixed because they told me that the second valve body didnāt fix all the issues, so they were going to have the shop foreman evaluate it...
Update: Itās been close to 700 miles and Iām still experiencing the harsh down shifts and initial harsh shift into reverse as well as some new issues like when dropping a gear at highway speed to pass it downshifts but then downshifts again to an even lower gear and completely retards the truck...
Not to my knowledge no. It was a quick fix but they had to order the horn. I honestly donāt know what they may have had to remove to replace it. I had other work done at the same time. Sorry I donāt have more info for you. Seems like a pretty easy thing.
Yes! My apologies. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire horn under warranty. It is a two tone horn, and the low tone malfunctioned and would no longer fire, resulting in only the high pitched horn firing.
Not sure if this has been asked many times before, but has there ever been talk of the forum offering Bronco6G.com branded merch like shirts, hats, stickers, etc.? This forum has been awesome to me, and Iād love to represent the brand to show my thanks. I figure there are many more like me out...
Iāve got a ā23 Badsquatch with 4,500 miles that started having these same shifting issues being discussed here. Dealer performed the 24-2138 TSB, but it did not correct the problem, so they replaced the valve body. Was told I need to drive it for āa few drive cycles,ā basically 400-500 miles...
I have a ā23 Badsquatch 2.7L and have already had to replace the valve body due to hard down shifts into first gear, but so far it doesnāt seem to have fully corrected the problem. Suppose to give it āa few drive cyclesā for a relearn procedure. Weāll see. Thereās also now a noticeable delay...
I purchased a set of grille lights from LEDFactoryMart.com that are great (link below). Shipping takes some time, but I like the lights a lot because they're a little more substantial than others. The kit also comes with a fuse tap to allow you easily double up an existing fuse. I used Fuse #22...
Love the hood. Also love the flood lights in the capable bumper. Can you share what those are? Iāve never seen such an option and would love to replicate it. TIA
Update on my hard shifting problem. Turns out I have a bad transmission valve body with only 5K miles on the odometer. Luckily the tech was able to replicate the problem because it doesnāt happen every time the truck shifts. For those with a similar issue but the TSB procedure doesnāt seem to...
My ā23 is in for an oil change right now, and my driver window rattles horribly as well, so I asked to have them address it. Got the same answer being discussed here. Itās a known issue, but Ford hasnāt released anything yet for the fix.
UPDATE: The service tech gave me the following official...
He gave his inventory to TickleMyBronco.com and they appear to still be available there:

Thanks I had no idea this was out there. Will be buying asap.
Thanks, didnāt even think about SS zips. Looks like the DV8 option is the way to go. Somehow missed that. I appreciate the response.
UPDATE: For those of us with the capable bumper and who donāt want to drill holes in the front of their broncos for the license plate, I thought Iād share a few options that have been brought to my attention after originally posting here a rudimentary zip tie solution to at least get the plate...
I leased a ā23 4dr Badsquatch in June and the difference between leasing a ā23 vs a ā24 was significant. The ā24 was almost $300/mo more. I assumed Ford was willing to deal a bit on the remaining ā23ās but felt the demand for the ā24ās didnāt warrant any incentive at the time. Purchase structure...
Thanks for the quick response. Didnāt realize that. Tried a search on the forums first but nothing came up for me. Iāll check to see if the connection is faulty and take to the dealer if I canāt figure it out.
Has anyone experienced their horn changing to a higher pitched tone out of nowhere? Iāve got a ā23 4dr Badsquatch. I hit the horn twice while driving and the first tone was the normal tone that itās had since purchasing, but the very next immediate tone was higher, and now itās stuck at this...
I am using this one with the built-in wireless charging pad, and I have the OEM wireless charging pad. The OEM one is so hit or miss, but this one works every time, all the time. Also nice to have an extra usb outlet more readily accessible in the console. Can be found on Amazon here...
Anyone with a 2.7L 4-Door have a similar issue when coming to a stop and an audible clunk can be heard when the transmission shifts down into first gear? No thrusting, just sounds like a harsh drop into gear. Wondering if I have the 10R60 transmission and if the mentioned TSB would correct it...
