As mentioned previously, definitely get the Steeda spring. Also, I highly suggest the B&M shifter and the Ford Performance Tune. Those three additions work incredibly well together.
The tune may not be available for the 2024 models yet. @LethalPerformance might know the timeline for release.
I have both. I installed the IAG version with the tap and it worked fine. Once the Mabett version was released I took the time to uninstall the IAG lights and install the Mabett lights. I'm glad I took the time to do so as I feel the Mabett lights integrate better with the Bronco. At some...
David, here's the link for the mount on AAL's site.
Bronco Battery Cutoff and MAXI Fuse Bracket Kit - American Adventure Lab
Please note that they originally designed it for the 2.7L and then made a second version for the 2.3L. It appears that the second version fits both the 2.3L and 2.7L...
Oh, now I remember that thing. I doesn't seem like the broken tab would prevent you from engaging 6th gear, but I suppose it's possible.
I would try adjusting the cables and see how that goes. It's a fairly simple procedure...just don't break the orange clips!
I toy with the idea of buying new clips, but zip ties are holding the important part of the clip securely, so I haven't worried about it yet.
I'm sure the little buggers are easy to remove when clean, but mine were caked in dirt.
It has been a while since I did this install, so I can't picture the plastic bearing cup to which you refer. However, I also had a couple of gears that didn't feel like they engaged properly. Adjusting the cables underneath the vehicle solved that issue. I did break the cable clips and had to...
I really wanted the TrailRax 2-door half-rack, but it doesn't play nicely with the Sunrider, so I went with Badass Tents which is a bit shorter and allows the Sunrider to fold back properly.
Pic is from Badass Tents site, not my rig.
In general charging Lithium batteries when the temps are below freezing will damage them, so they are not recommended for use as the primary vehicle battery. That being said, I have four Dakota lithium batteries in the rear of my Bronco being used as an auxillary power source for my fridge...
My kit arrives tomorrow, but probably won't have any time to install it until Christmas. That aside...I have little need for a whip in the Northeast, but really like the chase light and aluminum mount. Are they available separately from the whip and if so, can the whip be added later if needed?
I understand the advantage of the using the upfitter which will only power the compressor with the ignition on, however I'm not understanding the purpose of being able to turn off the compressor under the hood. Regardless, the way you want to wire it should work just fine.
The only thing I...
Out of curiosity, what are you trying to accomplish by utilizing multiple switches? I originally had mine wired to an upfitter switch but ended up rewiring it to use the ARB switch under the hood. It was inconvenient to hop in and out of the cab to power up/down the compressor when everything...
I also have the Boomba which has been pretty good in "extreme" temperatures. With the AR knobs we're probably going to have pickup something like this for the summer, haha.
As Dusty mentioned, WeatherPack connectors work well for this. Pulling this mount off to access the spare shouldn't add more than two minutes to the whole procedure.
