I got a quote from High Country 4x4 in Englewood for diff gears, it was very HIGH$$$$. They've been around for 50 years and do excellent work but they're just too expensive now. Not sure they could do a T Case gear but might be worth a call.
I'm sure they want to sell those drive unit upgrades @ $1500 bones each! That's a lot of burnt lube you can buy @ $15 buck a quart and change out a little more often than normal.
Glad I found this thread was wondering why my outside temp has read way warmer a few times already the Bronco isn't even 3 months old. I'll pick one of these up to change as from what it sounds like from you guys it will go.
Picked up a used RCI roof rack and got it installed today, I really like how it looks. Thanks to @Ramble_Offroad for a great deal and all the advice on assembly/install.
Have you guys looked at the build and price tool on Toyota's site? They've done a 180 on how there packaging 4Runners, for an SR5 you have 3 options 4wd, running boards, and 3rd row that's it. Seems like they're doing options at the model level now and not ala cart like they always have.
Wow that's only 45 minutes north of me I need to find a way in there to check those out! And the Ford Courier never knew they raced those, my 1st vehicle was a '76 Courier!
Can't agree with you more on the turbo engines, unfortunately for me I will have to buy another 4Runner in 4 years or so as my wife LOVES them so I'll be watching how they do and address issues. The Tundra motor issue wasn't handled well and a friend of mine was hosed for months until they...
I had a '97 T100 and it was a great truck with zero issues and had the same powertrain as the proven Tacoma 3.4 V6. Reviews were based on comparisons to a real 1/2 ton like an F150 when the T100 was really a big Tacoma. But there were no issues with quality or reliability in the T100.
I have...
Ford can't touch any pre-turbo Toyota for quality, our '23 4Runner will outlast our Bronco and hold its value better than the Bronco. Now driving the 4Runner is painful for me as it has very little power from the 4.0 V6, my wife has no issue but she drives like a blue hair already.
If you go with the manual no V6 then, after having the V6 now I can't say enough about how much better it is than the 4 banger! I too love manuals but the tradeoff isn't worth it.
Exactly that's why we got a '24 instead of a '25! You can get a 4dr Black Diamond with Mid package, 2.7l, and a painted roof NO MIC for $47k around here and a 2dr like ours with MIC for $44k.
