Water temp 4 bars..no more no less.
Oil/trans temps range from 195 to 225 depending....and that is towing a trailer on a 100+ degree day.
Running the AC will cool your temps down because of the extra fan.
Depends on your use for the Bronco. If you have a two-door and/or plan on doing trips and some off-roading, and the 2.3 will be fine.
Getting the four-door? Large tires? Armor? Overlanding?...the hell no I would not touch the 2.3... i have driven 2 Sasquatch broncos with the 2.3 and would...
Using oil that meets the standards and you'll be okay. Full synthetic for sure due to the turbo heat.
Personally I no longer get involved in oil discussions and instead recommend you check out the "Motor oild geek" on you tube. All the mysteries of oil will be answered, for example 6 qts vs 7 ;)
Soon as I got my wild track I added a bunch front winch bumper, skid plates, rock rails...
All of that added weight And lowered my suspension about 1 in.
Within a couple thousand miles I noticed my front tires were wearing odd because it had changed the camber.
Took my Bronco in, had it...
Turning off auto updates was the very first "mod" I did when I got my Bronco in 2022.
Mentioned it here and got pages of people roasting me because apparently I don't understand something or another.
Almost 2 years later and aside of 1 update that Ford seemed to have forced on me, no real...
Hey mpeugeot! I can't believe you and I happen to have bought the same trailer!
Mine has the extra 6" lift as well and with my drop hitch flipped over, it is perfectly level.
Questions:
How much fresh water do you load up when you travel? It's a 26gl tank so that's over 200 lbs of tongue if...
Dry weight is easy to stay under $3,500 lb with one of these light trailers. But be careful of the tongue weight.
I went through an exhausting list of possibilities...targeted <2500 dry + < 250 tounge.
Ended up with a Sunlite 16Bh (You're probably going to want to stay right around the 16...
Update. I'm looking at the plug that came out of the brake controller. It's empty. No jump wires or anything. Not really sure why I was even there except that it has an attachment point to help hold something in place.
So I would unplug the harness from the connector. And maybe keep it in case...
That little gray plug is for the towing controller. Why they didn't just disconnect it I don't know.
Now from factory there is a dead head plug that goes in there when you don't have a towing controller connected. Not sure if it's needed or not.
I'm assuming you have the seven pin towing plug...
That line on your dipstick is exactly where mine is at. I can continue to fill it to that point when I do oil changes.
Over a year now, 18K mileage, and no oil leaks. (Of course now that I've said it...)
Those settings are there. First thing I did when I got my Bronco was turn off the auto updates using the Sync 4.
Now with all the updates I've happily missed, maybe they removed that feature to prevent people like me from having their Bronco work trouble-free :)
When I get to the point that I'm trying to flat tow the Bronco, I'm either going to do something like this to disconnect the rear and put the front up on a two-wheel car dolly, or I'm trading it in for a Jeep :)
But yeah... Whatever tires touch the ground, the drive shaft would have to be...
I recently bought a light camper and ran into the exact same problem.
I had removed my spare tire in preparation for picking up the trailer. However I did not expect the trailer jack to impact the rear view camera. I can't even get the trailer attached to a normal ball without hitting the...
Just a chime in on something that most people get wrong.
4A is for on-road use and engages the front axle whenever you are on the throttle. Many people will state that for a kicks into 4H "when needed" And this is not the case.
When you get on the throttle It sends power to the front axle...
Nice... Thanks for the confirmation. I actually need to try it myself!
Biggest mistake I've ever made in my Bronco was trying out Android Auto..omg what a disaster. I ended up having to disable Android auto on my phone, completely forget and re-pair my phone to the Bronco.... All just so I can...
Oh yeah... The Bronco lives long after You shut it off!
I've heard things like unhooking the battery and then turning on the headlights or pressing the start button or something like that to try to get it to suck out the last of the power.
Pita
I added the mabett 3rd crossmember and place the RTT all the way back (basically the rear of the tent is even with the rear of the MIC.
You can't really feel the weight, and I leave my sleeping bag and pillow in it. The only issue is the wind can get between it and the roof and end up with a...
