Fact is that my Toyota Tacoma was hands down the least reliable vehicle Iāve ever owned. I bought it new and had a fat folder of problems & repairs when I sold it. 2 years later the next owner told me the engine grenaded on a road trip. (I had changed the oil religiously since it was the first...
@4WheelBugout your subject line says reliability but then you bring up noise. This is a convertible. Convertibles have noise; of course if weight & cost are no object (Mercedes cars) then it can be mitigated but āIt is what it isā regarding Wranglers & Broncos. Also this thing is shaped like...
Some multifunction wiring connector has jiggled a little loose. Theyāll find it, snap it securely in, and youāll be back in business.
(I had this happen on my Tacoma years ago)
Did you find the supplement insert describing prerequisite installation of rocket fuel system? Complete those steps first. Also, youāll need a source to procure rocket fuel.
BTW, some who tried this complain of melted spare tire.
Wow!
The last time I saw something even close to that was when an Accord wedged Into freeway traffic right in front of the city bus I was onā¦ then immediately was rear ended by the bus when freeway traffic suddenly stopped.
Oh my. UNIVERSAL. Ugg.
I have a good friend with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and he flatly refuses such endeavors on automotive wiring. I agree.
I doubt that youāll have a good day getting this universal kit to work.
I humbly suggest that you carefully remove it and start over...
This looks like just a FRONT lift (leveling). Nothing in the rear.
Same case for the Fabtech kit = front only.
@BroncoBeachBuggy like you I want rear lift, about an inch. Without shocks or stiff springs. I havenāt found it yet.
Waiting & watching.
Like others, I open the door and check every daytime stop.
Overnight stop, in the morning I start the Bronco, shift out of tow mode, and idle the engine for 15 minutes while I sip coffee & do other things to break camp. Before I turn off the engine I shift the transmission into reverse & drive...
We had an electronic clutch-based system on a 2004 Ford product. It was our go-to vehicle for bad weather, snow, ski trips, light off roading, and towing. We owned that vehicle for over a decade and nearly 200,000 miles. It was smooth, reliable, transparent and quite effective the life of the...
@Runyon I see that you have the 2.7. Which means that you have the automatic transmission. Therefore you havenāt personally verified that that your advice is good. In today litigious society, personally I try not to do that. Plus I get no joy from other peopleās misery.
