@TrailMilitia_George has started a journey where he and another similar 2dr are going to compare and contrast 74Weld and Werewolf portals for your viewing pleasure.
(There's also a 4dr that has Tibus already that will be included here and there, I suppose.)
Last I had heard, Werewolf wasn't...
A 2dr, 4dr and Braptor attempt to conquer Fordyce.
Does it live up to it's reputation as one of the hardest trails in Cali? Do the Broncos escape unscathed? 🤔
Last Sunday I went to Northwest and we did several yellow trails (I'd say 5-6/10's). We had done some of them before, and this time was fine.
Except... we did this one yellow that's at the top of a flat hill. There were five down slides, two of which were treacherous, one that had a hump and...
Ars Technica has an interesting story about "The 10 things car buyers say they want in their next car". Interesting what those are, although a lot of these are tech I wouldn't/don't care for:
1. Wireless phone charger
2. (tie) Backseat wireless charger
3. (tie) Heated and ventilated seats
4...
I'm planning on going Method Bead Grips, however I don't want to go up in tire size just yet. I want to stay at 35's for the next set.
I don't want to rebuy the rims, in other words, but my next set will likely be 35's.
If I'm going 37's, my understanding is I'd want to get 0 offset and a 1...
It's an interesting article with lots of details. Here's the salient off road paragraph:
Obviously doesn't give it the full off roader wring out ("ease and grace" is humorous in the off road context), but good to see they've made progress in a short turnaround. Going to assume this still puts...
Well, I got my first crack in my windshield. A rock or something fell out of a tree, no cars or anything around! Weirdest thing.
It's tiny, maybe a couple millimeters (long as a sharpened pencil lead). I've got an appointment at Safelite tomorrow. Never done this before.
Just wondering about...
Had an older roommate years ago who drove a little Suzuki Samarai and was country AF. He was also an avid gamer, and had this off road race game on PS2 that was so awesome. We used to play it all the time. So much fun! And I'm not a gamer by any means.
Given that most of us prefer to be indoors...
Just got an email from Ford about a new off road series (looks like the Off Road Connect?).

Looks like they only have Escondido Draw out in far west Texas. This is what the FAQ says about price:
How much does it cost to attend?
Bronco Outpost’s five-hour...
Lots of goodies in here to tweak the off roaders among us. Especially liked the first two sentences:
And hey, the Bronco already has trail turn assist. ICE ain't dead yet baby!

The nut that's welded inside the front skid plate mount has broken off and I need to repair it to mount my new (heavier) plates.
In lieu of taking it to a shop to get the mount removed and the bolt welded back on, I've been told I could replace it with a captive bolt or a clip.
Anybody know of...
When I was growing up in Houston back in the early 90's, we'd all heard of Stevie Ray, even if (like me) I had no idea who he was. He was, literally, the greatest living guitarist, but one I'd never heard. At the time, I was into Metallica and Dream Theater, and soon to be Tool.
Then one day he...
I have a 2dr and am considering getting the Deepsleep Solo Mat instead of a tent and sleeping bag.
For those of you who sleep in your Bronco, is there a way to open/close the rear window/door from inside? Do you just leave the door and glass open? How does this work?
Thanks!
