You shouldn't expect any failures.
However. I did have the window switches replaced under warranty (rubber coming off) and my carpet headliner is coming loose in back. This is typical of glued Ford parts in Phoenix, so that one I kind of expected.
The window switch rubber seems somewhat common.
I have a Base. Automatic Emergency Braking is one of the settings on the same screen where you adjust the intensity of the warning nag.
I keep forgetting these come with auto high beams since I turned them off before I left the dealership.
Airbag replacement used to be around $2k EACH. These days, for a major brand vehicle it's a lot lower, maybe 400-800 range, plus probably 2 hours at shop rate of labor. There is also a vehicle body sensor that needs to be replaced.
So if the airbags deploy it can very quickly run up the cost...
Two issues here.
1 - they are clearly infringing in Ford's Tradmark by using the word "Bronco" and Bucking Horse logos.
2 - they are also clearly infringing on Ford's "Trade Dress" by building new 67 style bodies.
On the brakes, might depend on where you are coming from.
I found them really touchy compared to my Mustang or the old 2007 Expy. The ones on my wife's F-150 (2.7L) are way worse though. Even the lightest tap wants to send you flying through the windshield.
Sort of. The eco-boost 2.3 has been around since 2015. It was developed from the 2.3 Mada engine that Ford shared with Mazda, but "developed from" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
2.7 has been pushing heavier Fords than the Bronco around since 2015. (F-150)
2.3 has also been in service since 2015 (Mustang)
So, they really have the same track record, and Ford has built a lot more 2.7s than 2.3s
Easy choice, you get the 2.3 because that's the largest engine you can get with a stick shift, and life is to short to be stuck driving an automatic.
I wouldn't call it "fairly dark", but I'm in Arid-Zona. In a place they literally cal "The Valley of the Sun"
1st thing I did was have the fronts tinted 35% and the rear tinted 20%. If my Base had tinted rear I would have tinted over it to get it down to 20%. Honestly, I kind of wish I went...
