  1. what problems/breakages should i expect from my 2024 Outer Banks

You shouldn't expect any failures. However. I did have the window switches replaced under warranty (rubber coming off) and my carpet headliner is coming loose in back. This is typical of glued Ford parts in Phoenix, so that one I kind of expected. The window switch rubber seems somewhat common.
  2. ONLY 4-Doors *2.7L Results on MPG / 90% City

A hair under 24. Manual transmission for the win. Drops a good 10-15% on the freeway.
  3. Park brake failure - service immediately

joke is on Ford. It's so annoying to use I never use it.
  4. Collision avoidance, will it, or won't it?

I have a Base. Automatic Emergency Braking is one of the settings on the same screen where you adjust the intensity of the warning nag. I keep forgetting these come with auto high beams since I turned them off before I left the dealership.
  5. Collision avoidance, will it, or won't it?

My sales drone didn't even know how to DRIVE my car. Apparently the 3rd pedal was too confusing.
  6. Collision avoidance, will it, or won't it?

This, only when I follow someone through a left hand turn. I turned it down to the lowest setting which helps.
  7. Waiting to hear if this beauty is totaled

Airbag replacement used to be around $2k EACH. These days, for a major brand vehicle it's a lot lower, maybe 400-800 range, plus probably 2 hours at shop rate of labor. There is also a vehicle body sensor that needs to be replaced. So if the airbags deploy it can very quickly run up the cost...
  8. 3 Most USED Mods on Broncos? Go!

    Window tint.
  9. Center console still opens even when locked

I have had the Bronco for just over two years. I was today years old when I discovered there was a lock there.
  10. Rival: 2025 4Runner Prices Announced

Yeah, the Exploder was a lot more capable before they turned it into a glorified crossover.
  11. Rival: 2025 4Runner Prices Announced

Unless it comes with a stick shift, it's not a competitor. I'd cross shop a Mustang before a 4Runner.
  12. Ford to reduce Bronco production [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Disagree. Mazda has the best metallic red in the industry.
  13. Ford to reduce Bronco production [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Go configure a 2-door XL trim F-150. Even the basic stripper 2-door contractor truck is over $40k now.
  14. Ford Sues Company For Body-Swapping New Broncos with Classic Bronco Design

Two issues here. 1 - they are clearly infringing in Ford's Tradmark by using the word "Bronco" and Bucking Horse logos. 2 - they are also clearly infringing on Ford's "Trade Dress" by building new 67 style bodies.
  15. Issues out of the gate

On the brakes, might depend on where you are coming from. I found them really touchy compared to my Mustang or the old 2007 Expy. The ones on my wife's F-150 (2.7L) are way worse though. Even the lightest tap wants to send you flying through the windshield.
  16. Please Help: V6 or Painted Roof?

Sort of. The eco-boost 2.3 has been around since 2015. It was developed from the 2.3 Mada engine that Ford shared with Mazda, but "developed from" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
  17. Please Help: V6 or Painted Roof?

2.7 has been pushing heavier Fords than the Bronco around since 2015. (F-150) 2.3 has also been in service since 2015 (Mustang) So, they really have the same track record, and Ford has built a lot more 2.7s than 2.3s
  18. Please Help: V6 or Painted Roof?

Easy choice, you get the 2.3 because that's the largest engine you can get with a stick shift, and life is to short to be stuck driving an automatic.
  19. Marsh Gray 2025 Bronco Base Trim on Steelies Spied

I wouldn't call it "fairly dark", but I'm in Arid-Zona. In a place they literally cal "The Valley of the Sun" 1st thing I did was have the fronts tinted 35% and the rear tinted 20%. If my Base had tinted rear I would have tinted over it to get it down to 20%. Honestly, I kind of wish I went...
