I have a 4 door Big Bend and hauled my T@B 320 camper from Minnesota to Arizona and back. No issues driving highway speeds of 70+ or going up and down mountains.
Personally, I don't think I would have wanted to do that with the two door. I would want to find a smaller and lighter camper if I...
I was really hoping for a plugin hybrid, like the 4xe. That feels doubtful right now. I'm going to be tempted if the Gladiator gets a 4xe version for 2025, but I don't think I'd be tempted enough to switch over.
I have the ford mat, did the cutouts and it is nice. What I don't like about it is the texture does not clean out all that nicely.
I have to pull it out and hose it down if I really want to clean it. I prefer some of my other cargo mats that will wipe down a little quicker.
It is sturdy...
It's a little bit self selecting. If speed is one of your selection criteria, a vehicle with no concessions for Aerodynamics or Weight probably shouldn't make your top ten list.
I've had Jeeps for decades, but I'm just not a fan of the current Wranglers.
When I moved back to Minnesota, sold the convertible and was looking for something a little more practical with an open feel, moderate tow capacity, decent cargo room, the ability to navigate six months of full blown...
Yes, but when they finally come out with a Hybrid or full E- Bronco, that might sway me to trade in. Would have to still be a Bronco though, like the Wrangler 4e.
Northern Minnesota and I did the exact same thing. I'm really glad I never got the hardtop now because I don't think I'd ever really want to swap them out. I used to do that back in the day with my 90s YJ.
I love being able to just throw the factory soft top back. Personally I'm a fan.
I did...
The tow controller I bought... because the trailer I ended up buying ended up having surge brakes. Oh well, at least it's all wired in now just in case.
My only regret is not getting the Advanced Four Wheel and factory tow packages. I keep pricing out the 2024... but my aftermarket towing setup with part time gets me by well enough when I look at that total price.
I only have the raised lid enclosure, but I lose probably an inch on both sides of the cargo area. I'm guessing it would take some cutting to make it work.
I just wanted to add my thanks for this thread. I installed my hitch and wiring this weekend and it was a really simple install to get the full 4/7 pin + Controller wired.
I originally had a two door ordered, but bought a four door from the lot. I would have regretted the two door given the way I use my 4 door.
The two door would have been a fun time but the four door is what we always prefer to take out.
