I asked him what that meant and he said that they are waiting on a shipment to fulfill orders but that it looks like they are going to be listed as back ordered. I'm assuming they either don't have a shipment coming or it's already sold off, but I really don't know. He couldn't give me a time...
Has anyone ordered a rack lately? I've had one on order for a couple of weeks, just got off the phone with ford and they are "on the way to being back ordered" in the customer service guys words. He did make it sound like an order was coming in but couldn't tell me when that would be, go figure lol
I've got a billet 3.0 rack from Vasher Design in it now working flawlessly. Haven't pushed it like that yet but have a couple good trips planned the next few weeks!
Here's some shots of the guts of my stock 3.0. Bushings were destroyed, passeneger housing has significant wear for less than 5k...
Stock hose 3 tie rods no braces or supports, and I will post some pics when I tear it apart. There was black bushing-looking material on my rack bar on the passenger side.
I've been mulling it over for the past 6 months, there really isn't any real estate to work with under the bronco for a solid axle, you end up with a minimum of 6-7" of lift to clear link mounts (or go radius arm but yuck) and have any sort of up travel. Even if you 3 link the front it gets...
Yea but I have a billet housing for this one this time. Long term id like to come up with a way to use the billet rack as the manual link, ditch eps, and do a "hydro assist" style setup similiar to what some of the koh broncos have done but I'm also deep down questioning IFS and going much...
Unfortunately I put it in last month lol one Windrock trip down trail 16, and a few trips to the local park on it. Nothing I wouldn't have done with the hose 2.0 and bushings, but it was just nicer with the little extra steering power.
Edit, actually just hit 2 months with it in, probably...
Well I broke my stock hoss 3.0 rack this weekend, popped the cap for the take up/support under the pinion.
I was working my way through a rock garden and had just gotten up a fairly nice sized pile of rocks, when I came off the top rock I had about a 1ft drop onto the driver tire (turned...
I've seen a bunch of people talking about Vernal area being amazing. I figured that's where they were headed if Sand Hallow wasn't the next choice. I might have to try to squeeze the trip back onto the calendar!
I don't know how to post photos ina Comment but the entire overlook area was closed off because of the fire today. Most of that whole ridge was full of fires
Not sure I've ever paid attention to length of time in 4wd, I usually run 2h until I need 4 low. If we're running a more serious trail I'll engage at the first obstacle and run it until we come off the trail usually. It might be worth noting I've had 2 transfer case faults in low range where...
Figured this would be as good a spot as any to discuss what and why this noise happens. I've only filmed it once, but it probably happens once or twice a wheeling trip lately with no known damage, just noise and you can visibly see the front tires shudder when it happens.
I can recreate it...
Here's a video of mine making the bang I'm talking about, the lighter "clicking" before the bang isn't audible in this video because it usually comes from the drivers side and it's lighter like a Abs click almost. Happens as I let off of the gas when you break traction. You can hear I thought I...
Do you know what all was replaced when the front diff was done? It could very well be mechanical but I wonder if your "gun shy" from the first break. Have you tried 4wd since? If a CV axle is broken you'll hear a repetitive constant clicking in 4wd.
Not saying this is it, but I've been in a...
It's the second bronco one I've seen in a week, wreckt4d on IG broke his right after the hub splines I believe driver side. Locked front end and wheel spin/bounce on some rocks.
And yea for the price you'd hope those 35 splines are 300m or heat treated at least. I get the articulation...
I was thinking some more about this last night and right now the biggest hurdle about a break like this in the long run is that no matter what CV option you choose the wheel side stub shaft gets no thicker. It's physically impossible without a new hub/bearing and even the Dana Advantek...
Is that the first part of the ridge on Walden's? Sure looks like it! You might be the first 6G up there
Sucks to hear about the axle, how long after using tta did the axle let loose?
