Well drilling holes on the side rails means you can have more mounting locations for the Cross bars. Unlike some other car companies that had OEM racks with channels on the side rails where you could slide the cross bars to different mounting positions all day long. The Bronco OEM rack has 3...
I was thinking, maybe just forget the rear crossbar and leave it there or remove it. Then drill new mounting holes to the side rails with threaded inserts to add the Tslot extension cross bar just a few inches in front of the rear oem cross bar. I'm sure most items if they stuck out beyond...
Unfortunately, I haven't done anything with this. I was hoping it would generate some interest so that I would make them but that didn't happen as the OEM rack is very limited, so I forgot about it. The issue would be the rear factory Cross bar and how its mounted. I would have to re-engineer...
Here are some more photos of the Amp rack board. Also shown mounted in place under the dash. This was the first board I made so I ended up with a lot of holes since I kept making changes/adjustments to fit everything. Its not exactly OEM but it works! LOL
@RRaptor -Wow thats an awesome 2dr! The Eight.100 is a beast with plenty of power. That's another one I considered too.
@TNBronc - check out this video from 5star car stereo. They're one of the few Youtube channels I've been watching and in this Bronco video it shows them splitting the wires...
Are you getting the Musway D8 DSP amp or the Eight.100 non dsp amp?
I thought about getting the D8 DSP amp since its so small and I could power all of the Bronco speakers from the 8 channels, with having the tweeters split from the dash speakers like I have now and that would also power rear...
Yes, the DSP software lets you set the signal input that is coming in so you can send channel 1, 2, 3, or 4 to any of the other channels. See a pic of the software layout and and you will see my settings along with the "check the box" for the channel signal being sent to each speaker.
Granted...
I'm not that knowledgable about Car Audio stuff either, I just watched a ton of install videos and researched as much as I could about anything and everthing I needed to do based on what I wanted to do with my Bronco. By no means am I a pro lol!
In order to separate the dash speakers from the...
Happy to share!
Surprisingly I found the original 3D file of the 6.5" speaker adapter online too, and the notes of the file said it was for Ford vehicles with a 6.5" speaker size (I believe the file noted that it was designed for the F150 rear door). However, the mounting holes lined up perfect...
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share the audio upgrades to my 2022 Bronco Black Diamond 4door with the base audio system. I like many other Bronco owners in the early days originally upgraded just the 4in speakers in the dash and rear pods. I finally added the Kicker Key 200.4 amp to power all...
Hi Joe!
I finally installed and setup my Musway M6 Pro DSP amp. Check out the install video where I designed a custom mount for the amp under the passenger dash. Joesph @Muswayusa helped me program the dsp software. I plan on making another video showing the settings for the bronco.
The amp is...
Like many others have stated you don't need to do a relay unless the Fog lights you're using have higher rated amps. The OEM Fog Lights run off the main system which has it's own relay built in.
The Fog lights I have are the PIAA SAE LED fogs and they barely pull 2 amps I believe since they're...
I have morimoto 4banger SAE Amber NCS lights and a set of PIAA white SAE fogs on my HD MOD bumper. For the 1st year I ran the piaa lights as my fog lights on the oem fog light switch. I got the Amber 4bangers back in September which are on aux 3. The piaa lights are decent street fogs and I use...
Here is Version 3.0 that I came up with as it adds Mounting Tabs on the side. This idea came to me in case you wanted added strength to add another mounting plate for an Awning or other things. I made a quick 3D sketch model of what it could look like on the top plate shown in pic #2.
I don't...
@Spicygb
This is the OEM Roof Rack Top Bracket Version 2.0. You can see I made D-Rings on both ends and I extended the 45deg slope. The D-rings have a thickness of .30" which should be thick enough for most stuff we strap down, if not I can always increase it. Plus if you include the bottom...
Oh I agree those plastic front main windshield mounts should be aluminum or steel (do better ford or whoever made them). If I could get a 3d model of those mounts I might be able to redesign them and get them made in aluminum/steel and we could still use the plastic covers maybe🤔🤔🤔. Great now I...
Well its funny that you mentioned it as just last week I redesigned option A bracket, version 2.0 with D shape openings. I've been busy with other things and doing other projects that this went on the shelf. I never did get a chance to 3d print test parts yet. Next week I will see about 3d...
Looks good. I would suggest black PETG for final 3D printed parts as well. Use a good quality roll of PETG, nothing cheap from Amazon. Using an FDM type 3D printer helps too. I used PETG for the light brackets that I desgned for the bronco and they're available on Etsy if anyone wants one.
I...
I was wondering when someone was going to use one of the Stinger SPX Amps in the Bronco! They're so small and powerful they would fit perfectly!
The Stinger SPX 1000.5- 5 Channel Amp with the Stinger underseat mount is what I have been considering of upgrading to leaving the KickerKey200. I'm...
