Yes only on a cold start meaning the engine needs to be off for several hours then on a cold start it only does it for a few seconds best way I can describe it as it sounds like an old school mechanical Cummins 4bt diesel, long term if let go would chew the metal apart that’s slapping together...
Well had the cam phasers done on my 24 badlands 2.7 at 1200 miles now I think it’s starting to do it again at 1800 miles gonna let it develop a little see if the sound gets louder because right now I’m not 100% sure last time it was blatantly obvious
Talked to the service manager today at the dealer just for everybody else that may have a similar issue he said they’ve had several broncos recently that some of the rubber seals in the rear gate and window area were deformed from the factory and causing horrible rattle/creaking. It’s going in...
What, my point is why should I have to spend time I don’t have to tare a brand new vehicle apart to chase a problem that should be fixed under warranty I’ve already wasted enough time on it trying a bunch of suggestions
Yeah not going that far with a brand new vehicle with 1500 miles on it and full warranty, I have tried most of the suggestions on here but nothing has worked
I’ve tried several suggestions so far nothing has worked I’ll try a few more as time allows, I found my spare wasn’t torqued to spec think it was about 40-50 ftlbs took it up to the 66ftlbs but didn’t help anything
Honestly if I can’t figure this out I’ll probably just run my truck back and forth to the game lands, the rattling is so bad on shitty town roads I can’t imagine how bad it’ll be on that unmaintained dirt road I might leave the bitch there and hitchhike home with my dog lol
I have no problem with road noise I’m used to HD 3/4 ton trucks but the rattling is so bad it’s unbearable I’m dreading when bird season starts and I’m out on unmantained dirt game land roads
I have a 24 badlands sas 4 door, I’ve got a horrible plastic rattle/creeks coming from the cargo area so bad to the point it’s borderline unbearable anybody have any experience possible fixes to try for this? It’s so bad on in town roads if I can’t get it figured out this vehicle will be gone soon
Well got it back today so they had it for 3 weeks hopefully there’s no hiccups 🤞only drove about 15 miles in to work, it look liked they put about 50 miles on it assuming from a test run after they were finished
Actually I used to build high hp diesels and have gone through a fair amount of torque converters and never seen a cross threaded bolt in one unless some hack was working on it and did it to themselves, so you’re saying ford puts out transmissions with cross threaded bolts in the tc in 90-100%...
Update, well you can’t make this shit up so the bronco has been at the dealer since 7/15 for cam phasers I haven’t heard anything from them since then when they told me they’d have all the parts by 7/19 then have it done for 7/23 so I called in today just to see what’s up and evidently when the...
