I guess it would depend on your driving style. If you drive city/highway, it might be a bit much, but you can take advantage of the extra durability in off road type situations.
The F would be the load range of that particular tire. Most tires in that size are typically a C,D or E load range, but there are a few tires out there that are available in a load range F.
