Complain all you want, Land/Range Tata Motors (the Indian company that actually owns Jaguar/Land Rover) quality is among the worst in the world (verified vis Consumers Reports).
Interesting thought, however, it'll never fly. People buy Land/Range Rover for prestige/name value (they sure don't buy them for reliability and capability only matters when people actually go somewhere other than the mall). A domestic brand will never sell to the truly snotty.
Should have said, "stayed out of the dealership for more than 6 months at a time." Land/Range Rovers have almost the worst quality and reliability record.
You make a good point. It's difficult to determine just where this damage is located. Is it flare, fender or what? How about a pic zoomed out a bit to show exactly at what we are looking?
Your cheapest option (not counting the bonehead on here that suggested theft) would be to replace the flare. My advice is come up with a wicked story about you, the truck and a knife fight. Seriously, unless the flare is cracked it's not worth replacing. If you do, just keep an eye out for...
Some of the items you mention are aftermarket parts. It is rare that any aftermarket parts will ever survive any significant exposure (one or two seasons at most, especially in the rust belt). The fact is that most aftermarket companies never test their products to the extent of the OEMs, nor do...
Sorry to hear but happy things are getting better. I stayed at Little Arrow last year for my Off-Roadeo and truly enjoyed it. Wish I was going to Super-Cel myself (never been but it sure sounds like fun).
I like the inserts better on those extra large vents, but I think the designer should have allowed them to be mounted from the back of the grille, which I think would be a cleaner look. For my BD (where the vents are much smaller but there are a lot more) I thought the aftermarket options were a...
The US wouldn't be in this boat if free trade had been fair trade all these years. All of the jobs went overseas because it became too expensive to manufacture here. In general, I hate politicians and lobbys (that includes union leaders) because it was their greed that got us here. Trump is...
Well, this is good to know. What makes it a PITA is that the fastener design is so similar that most people cannot tell by feel whether they have the correct size of bit. Add to that the lack of general public knowledge of even the existence of torx+ as a standard. If the companies feel the need...
Torx and Torx+ are NOT interchangeable. Why they use 2 types of fasteners that are so similar seems pretty boneheaded but Ford was probably forced into it due to different manufacturers and suppliers.
Unfortunately, while our 2-doors look amazing and maneuver just as good, we got no cargo room. A good rack and a box of some kind are our only recourse.
That 14mpg sounds about right, and it'll potentially drop lower if you decide to exceed 70mph, and even more in a headwind, going uphill, etc. Bottom line? You'd think a small displacement motor could muster better. But also, no. The turbo helps around town for acceleration but sucks the fuel...
My personal opinion is to just get used to it. Is it really that big of a deal? I converted mine last year. The rapid flashing (on the inside indicator only) happens around 50% of the time. There are a handful of possibilities regarding how to "fix" the rapid flash but I haven't seen a...
I'm curious. How long did the dealership take to do the work? I'm always hesitant to bring the Bronco in for warranty work because they can take forever to do the simplest things.
Oh oh... be prepared for the onslaught of opinions regarding the value of cosmetic accessories. Aside from that I'll just recommend not to try painting it yourself. People underestimate the need for proper prep and the value of professional experience. Also, if you've going to paint it, consider...
