Just crossed over 23k miles last week. Mostly routine daily driving around East Tennessee, with a few forest service roads, park service roads, and a drive to Florida and back thrown in there. So far, so good.
I was in convoy delay from my build date April 12, until it was delivered May 19th. I received the shipped email on May 19th, the same day it was delivered. No clue where it was until it showed up at my dealer.
I know the holds suck and no one wants to hear this, but.......
It is worth the wait! Ford built a great vehicle, and while their delivery & production issues may be infuriating, the finished product is one of the nicest/most capable vehicles you'll ever own. When it gets here, you'll forget...
Mine just told me, "You'll be reimbursed the difference in the next 45-60 days." I don't know if they will or not, (my salesman has gone above and beyond with everything so far) but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Ford Lincoln of Cookeville, Tennessee. MSRP, no markups, no hassles about it either. They also give you a complimentary limited lifetime powertrain warranty as long as you own the vehicle. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.
In this episode of "my dealer says" . . . While I was doing the paperwork tonight, I lamented the terrible state of the shipping situation with Ford (among other issues) and was told that Ford had just switched convoy shipping companies, which is one reason behind the numerous delays...
I'll say this. OrderTrack never changed. It went straight from awaiting shipment to delivered today. Only the tracker showed shipped this morning, with no email. Ford never could tell me where it was from April 18-present. Judging from the pictures, however, it was waiting somewhere filthy. Long...
So much for shipped this morning. IT’S HERE! My salesman just messaged me.
Currently waiting on them to run it through the service department to get checked out and cleaned up. Fingers crossed they can do it today!
I've spoken with two phone reps today (bounced around a few times for various questions), and once with chat. Still holding at 5/15-5/21. It sounds like those from other weeks getting the late July ETAs are folks still "in production" on a plant/chip hold.
I tried something different today with the Bronco marketing folks. When I called, I pointed out that my dealer had been receiving several Broncos the past few weeks during their regular deliveries, which confused me, as it would make sense to have mine on there with the others since they're...
If Chevrolet lets people pick up their Corvettes from the plant in Bowling Green, surely to God Ford Motor Company can do something similar at MAP. It's a win-win for everyone.
Ugh. Nothing yet! I check every few minutes. lol. I did chat with the Ford folks just before they closed shop at 7PM EST today, and they did tell me the shipping ETA of 5/15-5/21 was still accurate. So, I'll keep my fingers crossed and my eyes open!
Down to 199 vehicles awaiting shipment! First time hitting sub-200. Who knows, maybe this 5/15-5/21 estimate might actually hold this week? Good luck all!
That's just bizarre. It's at 208 now, but the average days is 18 days 22 hours, with the longest in this status being a whopping 37 days, 22 hours. I wonder why the two sets of numbers? Does it differentiate between 2 and 4 door Broncos?
It's been going down steadily in the "awaiting shipment" queue as well. Sitting at 209 presently. With the up/down fluctuations, one could assume that some units are entering that stage while others are being shipped.
