The tire carrier does bolt through one side of the X-Brace. That’s all that is needed. I bet if you used bolts and nuts, and bolted the carrier to the Brace you could leave the tailgate off and the brace would still hold the weight of the tire/carrier assembly. The key is the hinges. That’s...
I went with IAG. I like their design. Instead of the tailgate taking the load of the tire, IAG replaces hinges to heavy duty allowing the brace to take the load of the tire and tailgate. Price was good too
I’m sure you could buy some rubber molding from Home Depot and make your own. I plan on installing the 2” fenders from advance fiberglass when I get my Bronco. Unfortunately, I would need extended flares (like what you pictured) so road grime isn’t slung everywhere. Look in the garage door...
Exactly, I like the look but only want the flares and NOT the fenders. Broncos already come with fenders. I want fender flares that fit over the fenders after I cut them like old school Broncos. Not looking at four doors, only two door broncos
Yet, folks are buying wide bodied fenders from advanced fiberglass for more clearance and more squared off look at a premium price. Seems a cut-out-flare would solve both and less expensive for those that want the look of squared flares
Why hasn’t someone made cut out fiberglass flares like the original first gen Broncos? Seems it would be easier and a lot cheaper to make and we can use our factory fenders. Early Bronco for reference.
