Well then, there goes that theory I guess. We don’t drive ours much in the winter, the little we do there is definitely a noise on colder starts. Guess I’ll just continue to live with it for now and hope one day it gets sorted.

Maybe it’s just me, but I does seem people are having better luck with the TSB vs the updated replacement units.

100k kms, that’s it? Our 2015 VW Golf has 225k kms on the original. Our 2007 FJ Cruiser currently has 250 on the original. Our 2002 Tacoma has over 300 on the original. I certainly hope we can expect more than 100k kms

For someone so intent on keeping aggravation out of their lives. Just walk away. Check back in 6 months and I’m sure you’ll find people still dealing with this and you’ll be happy to not be part of it.

As designed. You can also go from a stop without touching the gas pedal, it will raise the RPMS for you.

Why wouldn’t you drive it? There hasn’t been any reported failures. Just a noise when cold.
