Most dealer techs are flat rate and retail repairs pay more then warranty repairs (35% on average),unscrupulous techs will try to change everything to retail.Thats why as a shop foreman ive had to write up techs for just this thing,man I hate flat rate!
Sorry to hear you are having dealer woes,if the window not indexing correctly(sits outside the weatherstrip when closed)there is a SSM for that concern

Keeping the vehicle that he personalized will have him along for every trip,I did the same with my father's 2002 f150 supercrew,and going to start the restoration this winter.
After a couple creek crossings 2 summers ago and looking under vehicle at home finding sticks jammed up beside transmission went with a PPE pan also,didn't want to add a skid plate under as the cooler is there also.
When I put ARB OME struts in my BD they didn't come with "tophats" so installed new ones all 4 corners,they were different size studs compared to the oem that came on my 21 BD(non sas)Maybe they made them stronger?
I've pulled my teardrop trailer and also my quad trailer since day 1 with no issues,well only issue is can't open rear door when pulling trailer because they thought copying Jeep would be smart instead of a drop down tailgate :mad:
