I do two things in the summer. I place a 2ā foam mattress between my soft top and Bimini top. This greatly reduces the temp in the cabin. I also use the beaded seats. This works wonders for the MGV induced butt sweat. My wife loves the beaded seats.

What i like best is that with the black reverse lockout the shaft and boot fade into the background and the beautiful orange knob looks like it is floating in mid-air. Love it.
I have some waterproof marine grade grease. Itās all I had on hand. The reverse lockout slides better but it is still not as smooth as the OEM. I tried to use as little as possible. I will give it a few days and may grease again.
