You rock, dude. Thanks!
I found a YouTube video that was amazingly helpful. He also included a link to the PDF manual, which I downloaded and printed (all 27 pages). Yeah, I know. I'm old. LOL The manual is useful, but the video really fleshes out some of the details the pictograms do...
I just ordered the 4-7 pin harness from Ford Accessories. I wasn't going to because all I wanted the trailer hitch for was a bike rack, but here we are... LOL
Is the consensus that the DIY install is tedious but doable and that the dealer needs to program something if I don't have a Forescan...
That's a good-looking item, @RobWTX. I didn't realize the opening was round; I thought it was square. I'd trade out a few old mugs for one of those.
Oh, cool! Literally...
I recognized the piece the mini-Raptor owner applied as something available through the Ford Performance catalog (or equivalent), and thought it was the same piece. I don't see too many Raptors, so I was going on memory alone. There's no mistaking the difference!
Isn't that the same piece of plastic they add to the "real" Braptor? I don't think it looks bad. Does the Raptor hood involve a CAI setup?
What I DO miss are those cool vents on the fenders, although I know it's not just the vents; the fenders themselves are different. I think the vents fit in...
I never had a tender, but it seems like a common sense tool to have in your kit. Besides, I never have a problem spending money on my Bronco, or filling up my toolbox.
I appreciate your candor, @crenca. I don’t mind saving a few bucks whenever I can, but the truth is a battery tender should be in everyone’s toolbox and they’re priced reasonably. Of course, you can spend a small fortune on one but there are plenty of budget-friendly options out there. It’s good...
I appreciate that, @Brian_B. To clarify, the two cables that came with the Proscan (shown below) are all I need to perform the installation, correct?
The battery tender is already on its way. :)
I want to THANK everyone for their input on this. Some great common-sense advice!
My dealer didn't want to touch this so I decided to perform the installation myself. My Procal has been sitting in my toolbox for months. It's not doing any good there.
I didn't have a PC, so I bought a cheap...
Granted, but there was a lot of eye candy, and I'm sure it would have been cool to chat with the owners about their particular vehicles. There is no shortage of pride or enthusiasm in this community.
