About a month ago my 23 2.7 Badlands started making a bit of a rhythmic oscillating whirring noise. I originally thought it was an exhaust leak, but adjusting the exhaust never fixed the issue. It progressively got worse and became apparent it was drivetrain noise.
While looking for the source...
3 things from this post.
1. Amazon does occasionally put a set of 6100s on super sale directly from Bilstein. I got my rears for $178. The boxes were destroyed, but everything else was gtg.
2. The Vevor clam shell spring compressors work good, you just have to grease the body and watch...
Because I've read this thread for, what seems like years, here is my addition.
We installed a FP3.0 on Saturday, followed all steps, super meticulous, etc. Got to adding the tune and got the Missing As Built Data, Missing Rack Data on the ProCal, everything from there was F-ed. Couldn't go...
I for one, am not a fan of the FP or ARB cover for the Dana 44 AdvedTek. Once you take the cover off to drain you'll see about 10+% of the fluid is still under the diff in the recessed cavity that would not drain with any of the drain plugs. Taking the cover off is the right move here.

I just wanted something lite and simple to cover the trans on a badlands. I went ASFIR. Simple straight forward design and fitment.
The only concern are the pocket washers they use. Easy to over torque and damage. They offered new replacement ones for free... plus $42 for shipping. It was my...
The ARB/Ford Performance mount is nice in several ways.
1. Mounts up much more solidly than some other engine bay mounts. It connects to the firewall.
2. You get the manifold included.
3. Still allows room to Turbo/intake because it tucks under the washer neck.
4. When sales happen, it's...
I took mine to Uwharrie and went over obstacles, slow fast etc. It didn't rattle, bounce, squeak etc. Eventually I'll add the adjustable mount, but it's certainly not necessary. It shuts as easy as stock. The modularity is awesome. I'll add the adjustable mount and rotopax later.
