I may eventually look into this option. After hauling the trailer back home, I don't believe the trailer was charging via the tow hookup. I'll have to explore further.

The picture makes it look like it's squatting quite a bit, but I don't think it's done any more than maybe take the factory rake out of it. The trailer rides nose down a bit more than I'd like, and I think that contributes to the squatty look. Picture of the hitch setup:

The 4-pin does have direct power too, but the 4-to-7 adapter needs its own power. Not sure why, but that's an easy thing to do. It would look great! Blue wouldn't have been my first choice, but it works just fine. What I won't be doing is hiding very well with my color choices. 😉
