I think they're both twin scroll. Wikipedia says the new MPC motor has higher compression, longer stroke and smaller bore, and bigger valves with more lift.
I got the mishimoto kit because the bigger inlets on the intercooler seemed like a good idea. I could really feel a difference in throttle response before I even left the driveway. I don't know if a bigger intercooler would be better, none of them have the oversized inlets so that would probably...
In the JB4 logs the IAT is always 10.3999
There's a few different temperature sensors you can log with the procal. I should hook that up and see what they say.
Ok, there was air temp which was a few degrees higher than what's on the dash. There was ACT 1 and ACT 2. I think those are pre and post...
I don't plan to take mine off road. It's mostly just mud bogs around here. There's some cool hill climbs but I've already done them hundreds of times. I'd have to move somewhere else to really get back into off roading. I'd rather move to the beach.
There's too much wind noise to make it a luxury vehicle. If they were going to do a fixed roof and non removable doors they might as well make a ford version too. I wouldn't mind being able to drive with my window partially open.
The ford performance one didn't seem to catch anything yet. I've only had it about a month. If you put a catch can on the PCV line it will catch oil the stock system mises. I would say the stock system lets an adequate amount of oil into the intake manifold but it could be worthwhile to stop...
I have a "dirty side" catch can in the PCV line and a ford performance aos on the "clean side" between the valve cover vent and the intake pipe. Is there a downside to connecting the two paths to one catch can?
The blacked out horse on the steering wheel is cool. I like the heritage better. If they let you order it without the sasquatch package I might have bought one.
I think any time you reflash the ECU the learned knock mod resets to zero. It would take a little driving time to get it to go to -1.00
They tune might not have loaded properly though, that is also a possibility.
My throttle body survived the winter. There were a few single digit days and a bunch in the teens. I might get a throttle body spacer and move the nozzle there just for peace of mind though.
