Winner winner, chicken dinner! Yup, the bolt attaches the black plastic door panel to the driver side door. There are three such bolts along the bottom edge of the door.

I found this bolt in my driver side front footwell. Does anyone know where it goes? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Thanks, I appreciate it. The version I am considering is the one that mounts to the top front of the OEM roof rack. Looks like you have the version that mounts to the top of the roof.
