It's brand new. Just over 500 miles and the dealership has already replaced the top once. It was leaking in the front with the first top but now this one has this rear gasket leak and I'm hoping I can just adjust it out.
It would be nice for it to be flush with the back roof cap but mostly I'd like for it not leak water all over the top of the roll bar and drip into the cargo area. Just washing the Bronco leaves a good 8oz glass of water on the cargo mat
Did that work? My center panel is raised at the rear seam and I’m getting water leaking there. I’m hoping that there is a solve in tightening the two rear J-hooks to snug it down and seal better, but I’m unsure how to adjust those
I have the same issue with the center panel’s edge against the rear top. It’s higher than the WSM spec shows it should be and likely explains why the roof is leaking at that seal. How did you ultimately snug the center panel’s edge down at the seam to be flush? Those steps are hinted at in...
I think those are the same diagrams I found on the site here, which is where I got the color codes I listed. I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm, since Crutchfield seems to think these are wrong.
So I've read a number of posts about people experiencing reversed polarity on the metra harnesses and I'm getting conflicting information from Crutchfield about which wires are positive leads for the front dash and rear pod speakers on Broncos with the B&O system.
Can anyone confirm for me what...
I guess my interpretation was the kicks gave the mid bass "thump" or "impact" bass, where the sub bass was the deeper frequencies. Listening to the factory kicks, it seems that way, though there are lower mids from vocals coming through too.
But maybe my expectations for what those kick panels...
Quick update regarding the Hissy S's in vocals and toning down the highs. I started by playing with the treble control and it helps, but then it starts taking away from detail. What I found is that the hissing S's were actually coming from the center dash speaker! I didn't change that one and...
It looks like you are not far from me in Orange County (I'm North LA Co). Does your shop also do installs, or do you just work with other shops? I see the MoBridge amp package, but I'm not sure if it's what you're speaking of.
Are the Hertz 100.3 in the four corners a good combination with Mobridge or is it better to just swap the factory speakers back in? Though I hesitate to remove those dash grills again. Even with proper tools and a careful technique, the seams are so tight, you can’t help but mar the plastic...
That’s what I found most of the feedback on the kick panel speaker upgrades to say, with the exception of some seemingly very positive statements made about the MJP6 that suggested that mid bass “thump” was markedly improved. So, I figured I would ask.
After doing the four corners, I will say that detail and soundstage is better. I find the B&O speakers hit and miss depending on the song. On one song they can sound pretty good and on another, they can flat with some instruments and notes completely absent that you know are there. However...
I used the Hertz 100.3 for all for corners, but this thread explains everything in detail: B&O System Speaker Upgrade Options - Back to basics and keeping stock amplifiers and subwoofer | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community
So I've looked through the forums about the speaker upgrade options for the B&O 10 speaker system. At this point, I'm not ready to look at an amp upgrade and plan to see if the stock B&O amp will suffice. Thus far I have replaced all four corners with Hertz 100.3 and its a definite step up...
Nice job on the bracket fabrication and mounting! This looks like a nice solution. I'm going to be installing new speakers in the 4 corners on my B&O Wildtrak as a start to see how it goes, but I suspect I will end up with something like this at some point.
I hadn't considered the dirt in the speaker factor. How much dirt are we talking about here? If you don't off-road with the top off or windows down at all or seldom, I imagine this wouldn't be a factor? It does make you wonder if a component approach might be worth considering.
So I've read through as much as I could find and it seems like the best place to start to upgrade the B&O for clarity, soundstage and overall sound quality is the 4 corners, dash and rear pods. It seems like this makes a big difference for most and a good place to start that may either be good...
