Just realized my text didn’t post with my pictures so all of you are like ok.
This is from my daughter’s front diff. 50k mile and it was never forded in anything more than a street puddle after heavy rain. I’m a bit perplexed by how the water got in.
I have similar stories. 3 people I know went to a place and their engine had trouble from over filling or gorget to fill. When confronted the place just said sue us.
I don’t think anyone is recommending going to a lube junky place either. Mostly just do it yourself, especially those already able to remove the plates.
How did you go about getting the diminished value? A few years ago I consulted my attorney about it and was told it is very difficult and not worth the effort.
Hard to compare retail to factory installed oe tires. The territory mts that came with my base wore out /fell apart really quick and were replaced by dealer at 5k miles. The replacements were not factory tires but exact same retail tire and they are going on 40k miles with no discernable wear...
If the test is high rpms until it passes or explodes I think I would rather have an extended warranty and roll the dice myself. Not sure how I feel about that test.
