Not bad. But a complete niche vehicle for sure. Said dozens of times in here already. Can they really hit that target price? Also, can they control the price on the options? Can they truly keep it modular? Buy the accessory now or later and DIY it...
I do like the Lego design. Dudes are...
I have 2 huge lugs missing from one of my Patagonia's... I just put that tire on as a spare and no longer rotate it in. It will get me home if I destroy another tire. But, if you had rotated 5 tires, like the manual says, you would be good to go with the other 4 until you damaged another. It...
The Uni-ball cup and pinch bolt system prevents play in the cup and bearing while still offering an easy to service set up without requiring removal of the A-arm.
Plus they have their patented low NVH Durotrak bushings. Metalcloak makes excellent components.
Yes, looking at the latest info available, it’s clear that there was a change over to the new design on production units. Now they just need to be able to produce the volume needed for the recall.
Not surprised at the recall... Going to be a while before they have the hundreds of thousands of replacement shocks available. Not to mention the time needed to re-design the reservoir attachment.
The KO3's will be a good choice once the selection of Load Ranges improves. As of now, there aren't any LR-C's in our common sizes available, all LR-E's and LR-F's. Since the KO2 in LR-C is still being made, that's how I would go too... And the KO2 is still a great tire.
That change in ride is common going from LR-C to LR-E. In many cases it's not a huge difference, but for some it can be a big and very noticeable difference. The Baja Boss has proven to be a good tire though. Made by Cooper and built on the same carcass that the ST Maxx is on as I understand it.
They are not actually an MT, they are an AT. The MT stands for "Maximum Traction" in the Goodyear world, not Mud Terrain like we are used to. This detail was shared in an interview with Goodyear tire engineers a few years back.
Quite useful... As someone that has installed around 1000 tires over the last 6 years, I'll gladly put my knowledge up against someone who just loves whatever he has bought and is loaded with confirmation bias and nothing else.
Move along.
Just getting caught up on this thread... Quite the twist there. Have to agree that the image provided by @DC59 looks damn good. And I also did not connect the powder coated springs thread to this one.
It seems maybe jessquatch has vanished? Or a stealth delete? Anyways....
I believe that review is an outlier.... I've watched and read a dozen or so comparisons of the 2 tires and nobody has ever produced a result like that.
I consult for tires at an offroad shop as a hobby and have sold and installed hundreds if not closer to a thousand tires over the last 4...
Eibach Stage 2 is hard to beat. Combine with Zone upper control arms if you want to max out the height. Simple, rides nice and economical. @Panda Motorworks will discount it all and make you a nice package.
This is a prime example of the main issue with doing mods on the Bronco platform. Each of the manufacturers are working with their own components and very little cross MFG testing is being done... Well, except by us users. There are some really great components out there, but when mixed with...
Yes, the spring shouldn't be overlooked... it's contributing to the overall softer feeling for sure. And if they flow a little more in the initial range, that would likely be what I felt.
But yes, the Eibach's seem like the value champion.
I'd love to see the curves on a shock dyno, because they certainly feel less digressive than Bilsteins.
I suspect (while exaggerated) the Eibach curve is closer to the orange line than the blue line.
