  2. Battery Shelf / Power Station Mount DIY Solution for Ford Bronco

If you wanted a backup against detaching during an accident and/or a moderate anti-theft deterrent, you could run a Hiplok Z LOK thru the top carrying handle around the roll bar. It's basically a reusable/lockable zip tie with a steel core.
  3. Phone Mount Recommendations

Magnetic mount with a case by Moment (they do camera equipment)
  4. Phone Mount Recommendations

Best phone mount I've had for any car. Also have their tailgate fire extinguisher - the best extinguisher I've had also. Nice stuff, not the cheapest. https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/bronco/products/direct-fit-phone-mount-ford-bronco-2022
  5. Help naming my bronco.

SHRTBUS (the slang term, not the movie or album)
  6. Looking for 2-door roll bar fire extinguisher mount

Have this plus their cam-lock quick release - not for the roll bar and not cheap, but very secure and quiet. I have other under-seat extinguishers for other cars (the typical thin aluminum, which is where the rattles come from) and this is much nicer with the cam lock which is silent next to the...
  7. 2 Door Rear seat Delete...Y/N

If you are going to do it, do plenty of research of why and what you want to accomplish. For me, I was never going to use them and wanted a slide-out flat tray that was flexible for multiple uses. I didn't want to lean in and I wanted equal access to both what was stored near the rear and what...
  8. Tips to avoid trail stripes / pinstripes when off-roading?

Semi-related: what do people use to remove/mitigate them or similar ones you seem to get when someone gets too close with a shopping cart / bike handlebars / etc.
  9. Off-Roadeo Location Decision Help

I've only been to LV - my thoughts. LV should be the easiest to to fly into - it's a major hub for Southwest. LV would definitely have the most non-offroad activities, especially if you stay on The Strip. Football, hockey, concerts, F1, shopping are all within walking distance. If you go, stay...
  10. Nevada Off Roadeo

I went last year - there were two groups of seven, with only one 2-door in each group. Ask/beg your instructor early on (even before you think they are going to split you up). My excuse/rationale was to say I DD a '19 Miata (154" long) and a '15 M235i (175", or slightly longer than a 2-door)...
  11. Off-Roadeo extra $75 insurance to limit liability to $3500... necessary?

Maybe you can ask the moderators to rotate your picture 90 degrees counterclockwise - problem solved! For those who haven't been, yes you spend 90% of the day at less than 5mph (it seems). Yes, you get instruction for each type of obstacle, but there is a considerable amount of time doing...
  12. Off-Roadeo extra $75 insurance to limit liability to $3500... necessary?

Per the site: When finalizing your reservation, you may also select an optional $75 vehicle damage waiver that will limit your financial responsibility to $3,500 if any vehicle damage is incurred during the event. So if you roll/total the Bronco with insurance, you are only out $75 + $3,500...
  13. Off-Roadeo extra $75 insurance to limit liability to $3500... necessary?

I was at the LV one last November. During check-in, they told a few people about their credit (I wasn't one). Also agree if you are spending a large credit, do it in the morning - they ran out of some sizes by lunchtime. Lastly, don't underestimate how much of a difference driving a 4-door is...
  14. Off-Roadeo extra $75 insurance to limit liability to $3500... necessary?

Here's my take. You are driving trails you have never seen. It may be the first time you have ever been off roading. You may be driving a different version (e.g. 4-door vs. 2-door, Auto vs. Manual). Not sure why you wouldn't just pay the $75, which is probably less than you will spend on shirts...
  15. Is your Bronco your first Ford?

First Ford, first American car owned in 40 years (Mazda/Acura/Honda/Infiniti/Subaru/BMW), but I did learn to drive on a '65 Dodge A100. However, if, BITD, I could have bought a GT350 or F150 Raptor without a $20k markup I likely would have (their markups really soured me on the brand). Loved it...
  16. Bronco Raptors $10,000 BELOW MSRP at Serramonte Ford

Understand - didn't mean to imply they were related other than by geography.
  17. Bronco Raptors $10,000 BELOW MSRP at Serramonte Ford

I've bought on car from a Serramonte dealer (not Ford) and shopped several others in the past, and almost all were universally overpriced and staffed with rude salespeople. Good to see at least one has acknowledged current conditions and is trying outreach thru forums like this.
  18. Off-Roadeo Insurance

Yes, it's possible you might need it if you panic or don't follow instructions. It's also a really small amount on top of the rest of the "free" day - you will likely buy more than that in the gift shop. If you are worried about some cosmetic pinstriping, try distracting your instructor with a...
  19. Bronco Off-Roadeo Nevada

I went in November and agree with the class/instructors/site. If you own/want a 2-door, grab an instructor early and ask/plead. There was 1 in each of the groups of 7, and I got one, using the excuse that I'm just not comfortable with something as long as a 4-door and that I DD a Miata and a...
