My Bronco is up there but an old Porsche 911 (993) air-cooled was more fun. I had an old '78 Land Cruiser FJ40 that was about as fun as the Porsche. I'm not counting my Harleys in this because no four-wheeled vehicle can compare to two wheels.
Yes, as I wrote, it was pretty uneventful as long as you didn't get your passenger wheel on the rock to the right side. However, you can't see it in the pic but above the obstacle it looks like the rock is a good idea because of how narrow the other side slopes into the step. I'm not sure why...
Just got back to SoCal from a great Bronco event in Vernal Utah. I had been to Utah countless times over the years but never up to the northeast corner of the state. Like most of Utah, it has beautiful vistas and down-to-earth people. I was only able to do one trail, as my Bronco decided to...
Thanks for the offer, but I stopped in the Vernal UT Ford dealership and they plugged in their scanner. The only code that popped up was a waste gate error. The check engine light and error was gone this morning when I started it. It ran fine all day before they checked it.
Well, it happened to me. I'm here at Bronco Safari, 800 miles from home. I haven't even made it out on the trails yet, but when I start my Bronco and get the check engine light with the Service Vehicle Soon warning, the "Powertrain Malfunction Reduce Power" warning comes on after that. I just...
I've seen these up close and personal. They are fantastic looking and well built. If I didn't already have a stock hard top, this is the way I would go without hesitation. They have a better design and higher load rate than the OEM in my opinion as well—quality work.
It's a love-hate relationship for Miller. He loves to go places but hates the actual ride. Plus, he's having more trouble getting in and out on his own these days.
I'm sure there are plenty of fathers on the forum. What Bronco-related Father's Day gift are you looking forward to? I'm not a father, but I'd like to get some ditch lights and some zip-up pouches to replace the door netting.
Feel free to list items and where you can get them. Is there a...
Looks great. I had a Huffy bike back in the 70s that was the same blue with black accents, and this rig brought me right back there like a time machine.
I'm thinking of going this route on my rig. Does Rigid have a spot and flood option if one wants to mount four lights up front? Two facing straight forward with two angled out with floods? I'm trying to decide if using up two aux switches for four lights is worth it. Are the two drive pattern...
The 3-ton All-in-One bottle jack/jackstand has a lift range of 11"-21", which will work in a pinch in the front and the rear. You can also try this one, which, granted, has a larger footprint for the storage space. https://motleyind.com/products/3000lbs-big-wheel-off-road-triple-lift
Yeah, the longer wheelbase is perfect for this situation. We did run into spots where the two door would have been nice to have. That was our third attempt with some expert spotting.
This is what I use. Full disclosure: we also sell it. A bottle jacke with incorporated jackstand for holding and safety. The flat bottom is great for dirt or sand. https://motleyind.com/products/3-ton-all-in-one-jackstand-bottle-jack
