No, you are not joking. I have a 7MT I got at a reputable and regional used car dealer - and the sales guy about age 30 could not drive a stick. I got the 7MT as a fun second vehicle. I buy and hold, so should have this for 15 years or so. By then it will be all EVs and autos, so I wanted to...
I read the "average" new car is now $47k. Not sure if that includes tax, tags and delivery. I paid $39k for a BD with 10k on it before tax, tags and delivery. No complaints. The Bronco is not meant to be a comfortable crossover that gets 30 mpg. It's a lifestyle vehicle that will get hurt worse...
Thanks for the thoughtful response. Bronc has been sitting a few hours since this happened and still hot out and will start up again to see what happens. Hopefully fine.
Can't be the floor matt as rubber that stays down and under. I wonder if I somehow hit the brake and gas somehow with my...
So I got into my '22 7MT (only 10.8k miles) today which is always parked outside. Very hot day close to 100F. The Bronc was parked with 1st gear enabled and no parking brake as on a flat area. Put foot on break and clutch and hit start. Car started and immediately started revving to 2k RPM with...
I have not read this thread as too long. Just the first couple of posts so this may be a repeat. I personally do - for me - somewhat question the value of the higher Bronco trims (also nothing wrong with buying whatever you want if you have the money), and the BL is the only one with...
True, and as I mentioned, if you want to take it to the next level of privacy you wipe Android from a Pixel and flash GrapheneOS and don't use Google apps. Just Free and Open Source (FOSS) apps that do what Google apps do but they don't track you. Now, I realize 99.8% of people won't go through...
They are selling your data to anybody and everybody who is willing to buy it, When you sync your phone it slurps up that data. Who would buy all this data? Google, Microsoft, many tech companies that want you as a customer or to better place their ads to you to make them more money, etc.
Not being rude, but then why did you buy a Bronco? I stick with Ford because I have not had problems. Maybe I'm lucky that way, but sounds like you should stick with BMW given your great experience with them. I had an E39 with no probs. Solid car.
Facts, so not being a homer. My 2010 Escape (which does not get a lot of miles as it sits at my summer house and only drives on small island roads and beaches) has had zero problems. Even wear and tear has been minimal. My 2016 Explorer which is at my main home and is a bigtime pavement driver...
Just got mine used with 10K on it this past fall. Noticed a bit of the engine noise on start-up this winter. Will take it in next winter under warranty to see what they will do. I find first gear to have a quite short throw/shift point to second. Otherwise love the feel of driving the 7MT. To me...
Yeah, this is what has me wondering. Deal is too good to be true scenario. If it not a high traffic dealer and no takers over some months the dealer will do what needs to be done to move it. Also, the person who sold it to the dealer may have really had to sell fast for financial...
Yeah, most people could care less about privacy and for those who consider privacy, most see it as too much of an effort or not working well. It depends what your goals are. Social media kills you and I don't use it (except for one fake/anonymous Twitter/X account to check things out - never...
Banking is a tough one. All your local police or the FBI need to see your bank records (or medical records) is their own admistrative subpoena that they sign - no judge required. Idiotic 3rd Party Doctrine. And, no doubt banks are selling your banking info to data brokers to sell to advertisers...
Yeah, I sort of started this. To each their own. No biggie on preference. To me it is a heat/cold v. cleaning aspect as to cloth or MGV. Do you want to be able to quickly wipe down the seats or have to use a vacuum cleaner or stain remover? Do you want seats that are not real hot or cold when...
Not to hijack the thread (OK, I am), but I have never been a fan of cloth seats in that they are harder to clean and you can't slide into them as easily. MGV, a soapy water spray bottle and microfiber towel. Cloth, some sort of vacuum cleaner. While there is a difference, I don't find MGV to be...
Well, I gotta pay for my oil changes. Bought my 10k miles used Bronc from a dealer chain owned by Penske Motorsports. As long as they change my oil each year with Penzoil, I get a 15 year 300K mile engine warranty. No worries about a blown transmission for life of vehicle
Done! Now I was not using a flashlight, but I figured it out. The clip/wiring you take off the TCU is not squeeze on the wide sides up and down. Use a small screwdriver on the side of the clip facing towards the glove box area. Depress the middle prong with a small screwdriver and it pops out.
Wow. That is easy. I assumed it would be hard to get to. Thank you!
EDIT: Here is a YouTube on how to open up the glove box. You can see the TCU on the right, and change your cabin air filter if need be
