My lights all turn of immediately after I hit the door lock button on the key fob. I don't think they do if I only hit the lock button on the door, in that scenerio there is a delay before they turn off.
Not sure if it will work for your setup, but some people have better luck unbolting the lower control arm. There are some YouTube videos showing that approach.
The Bronco frame is not 1/4" thick. More like half that depending on area. For anyone planning to keep a vehicle a long time, particularly if living in a rust prone area, and particularly if the vehicle has a tube/boxed frame, prevention is the way.
The under $30k base is one of the reasons I bought a Bronco. It will do what majority of people want to do on/off road (granted with some larger tires and skid plates). For people with less money, or those like me who simply won't spend on new vehicles, that initial offering was very nice. Auto...
Yes, in fact after repairing my TJ frame rails, I drilled drainage holes in the main frame rail low spots. It's definitely worth knowing the weak spots of particular vehicles in terms of rust and mitigating as much as possible, especially if planning to hang onto a vehicle a long time.
This is the sort of thing I will forget, then be stuck someday not knowing how to resolve. I should stow a compact list of these sort of procedures in the glovebox.
Water, salt and dirt inside the frame can be a ticking rust time bomb. It basically keeps a moist corrosive paste eating at the metal once surface coat protection is compromised.
It's killed so many Jeep TJ frames especially, because of the hydro-formed frame rails having no drainage holes. I...
I realize former COVID years were an anomaly, but I'd be hesitant going through 3 new Broncos in the span of 5 years, that's not typically a financial winner. Hopefully you don't take a hit with the new base cost and unloading the other. Tire kickers can take time and aggrevation selling on your...
I guess I'm a risk taker? The vehicles I currently have uninsured aren't expensive, and I'm already ahead of the game having not paid premiums. Probably if you had a new vehicle and the bank still owned it, you'd want insurance on it.
"They told me it needs three recalls done and one(the shocks) has to wait ... apparently the truck needs a module for the recalls, but ford says it isnt covered."
After the situation with your first Bronco, seems like you are again buying trouble with the second. I'd find a way to get out of...
Although I don't think a rear locker and advanced t-case were options on the base. I recall you had to bump up to maybe the Big Bend or higher. So it was a few thousand extra plus cost of the locker etc
