The angled front extrusion bar I found a problem with. But I have modded mine a bit. ;)

Finally completed the 10ga and a few signal wires. Made a new bracket that mounted up nicely to the rear crossmember in the space between the hitch mount and the muffler bracket. The power plug and a 4 pin plug to just use as signal wiring to the trailer. Turn things on or off from inside Bronco.
Think it just depends on what your goals are. My primary concerns was a solid frame, suspension, and hitch. This one had those specs for me, the cruisemaster suspension and hitch, aussie based products. The composite build is also a plus, as it won't rot.
I got the stripped down model, as I'm...
I was doubting the tow package wiring anyway. Think I found a connector to use. Just get me a smaller twist lock 50A plug and run some 10ga. What's one more connection to the battery anyway. lol
Thanks.
It's a small DC-DC charger, only 18A out to battery, so roughly 20A in. It's complementary to solar Charing as well. Basically while driving, solar is putting in and bronco is putting in, and stopped, only solar will be putting in.
Question, if anyone knows the wire gauge for the trailer tow battery charge to the 7pin trailer receptacle that is in fords wiring harness?
2022.5 owners manual has it listed as a 30A fuse, (107).
If I was wiring it, I'd be using 10 gauge, for distance from front of vehicle to rear for voltage...
The old 200-6 (later model). That thing would run even if you threw dirt and water in the carb.
It also runs on 4 cylinders. ;) One of the engines with cylinder deactivation, lol
Driving on highway one day, engine slowed down, and then a pop, but it never died, but it was a shaking. Pulled...
I have the Redarc aftermarket controller. I have pulled my trailer with it already, and automatic mode applies trailer brake pressure based on the g-force sensor in the unit itself. Harder I stop, the harder it puts on the trailer brakes. I haven't measured the actual voltage the redarc...
Are you using the auto sense feature on the device? It has default settings in it that will stop charging if the input voltage is too low, because it thinks that you turned off the vehicle. Those settings can be adjusted with the VictronConnect App. But if those settings are set too low, when...
Hypothetical question. What if someone just didn't plug the camera back in after a windshield replacement? Would the vehicle nag you to death with alerts every mile? Or just spam the "I can't see." message at startup?
You know, after warranty is up, "I'm not paying $1000 to fix this crap!"
When I replaced mine, I did not have any console lights. Haven't gotten a code reader yet, so don't know if there is something in there, but then I don't really care if there was. I'm already tired of Ford's electric nannies.
I've had no issues though. Mounted the rear camera outside up on my...
Same here. Filled up a few days ago and drove off and noticed it was 1/8 shy to full. Thinking maybe the pump shut off early, but then the gallons that went in would have taken it to full, so was confusing at that point. I had about 20 miles to drive so after 10 miles, it started slowly...
I tried the Trailer Light Check in the Sync console once I got my brake controller and trailer. Just gives me an error and says take it to a dealer. I'm sure the dealer will get right on that if I brought it in. ;)
Wonder if anyone else's works from the console?
Guess I'm the odd one out. I don't have specialty tools. But I still get it done.
Bolt smaller than the wire diameter and get it red. :)
(Caution, may make a mess, think of anti-seize. lol)
I don't think I can wait to page 351. ;)
I think we are at the point where we have already gone full throttle, reached 5 grand, and then the oil light came on. We quietly coast to the side of the road and stop. While sitting there in disbelief, there is something in back of mind, "well maybe...
