Also, Ford gave the first prototype Bronco, a teal/green 66 Half-cab with an inline 6 cylinder, to Carrol Shelby in 1967. The first thing he did was paint it red & white and drop a 289 in it to use on his ranch in Terlingua, Texas. I believe the owner of Gateway Bronco currently has it.

I think it's the black top that makes the color appear different than on the ones with the paint matched top.
While we're on that subject, the more pics I see of the paint matched tops, the tops always look like its about 5% darker than the body paint. I've seen it in several photos.
The offroad concepts are badass! If Lamborghini can make and sell over a thousand of their $300k+ Sterratos a year, then Ford should be able to pull one off for the average Joe.
Check the Granger Ford thread. They were doing $25 over cost. There should be a link in the thread to contact them and get an estimate.

They start building them in July (Job 2). I haven't really heard the details on them, but i'm assuming they will be pretty similar to the Heritage roof.

I believe they are referring to the gator skin textured sidewall. It does look a little like the plastic tires you would find on a PowerWheels or a cheap remote control toy car. Fortunately, It looks as though it's only on one side of the tires. Unfortunately, for tire techs, i'm sure there will...
