  1. Good News: MAP will add a third shift

I think we have a couple of folks from the plant. They can't report or publicly comment on those things that are confidential, but they occasionally comment or clarify on the rumors. To be fair to Webasto, I don't think anyone is able to hire or ramp much right now. They are offering $17+$3...
  2. Good News: MAP will add a third shift

It's coming from multiple sources inside and or associated with the plant. Ford has taken some pretty aggressive action to resolve, but there are you going to go right now as an alternative?
  3. Transfer Case Manufacturer?

I try not to be to confident in my answers, because there is sometimes conflicting information. But my best educated guess, it's the same t-case as the F-150 Raptor. I also thought that about the transmission (10R80 vs. 60) and looks like it will end up being different, so can't be sure until...
  4. Thinking About Ordering a 2 Door? - Watch this video!

I lived the 2 door life for 3 of my broncos. Hands down the part I liked least about all three- the 2 door sacrifice. To each their own, but the reason there are not many two doors anymore isn't a conspiracy of auto manufacturers, it's because consumers don't buy them often. Why? Because for...
  5. No Broncos scheduled this week.

I think there is a world of crap going on, but they will get it sorted out, eventually. Webasto (and reportedly other suppliers) are still struggling too. I can’t imagine trying to get people into plants right now, literally every business I have walked in to the past two weeks has help wanted...
  6. No Broncos scheduled this week.

I am in the process of buying my 2018 F150 off lease, just in case  :)
  7. No Broncos scheduled this week.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Even the glowing tests of the 392 with Fox Shocks and pretty much the kitchen sink option wise basically concludes that it’s “better” but retains the same steering and ride characteristics of past Jeep’s. The Bronco is just in another class from a ride and handling...
  8. First Fuel Economy Numbers Seen on Window Sticker = 16.9 MPG (converted) for Sasquatch Badlands 4-Door Bronco 2.7L

That seems likely. I drive "normal", mixed of highway and city and get just under 20MPG long term average in my F150 2.7 10sp. That is with 32" road biased tires, 3.55 gears and all the f150 mpg tricks employed. It does great on the highway 70MPH and under and can get 24 at 60MPH. 80MPH=19 on...
  9. No Broncos scheduled this week.

I get it, I am actually buying my current F150 lease just in case. Trust me when I say wait though. If you drive a Bronco after you buy your Jeep, you will be sad! (unless you are a hard core wheeler, then the trade off in ride and handling may suit you).
  10. Thank you Bronco 6G and shame on Ford

I can only go by my experience. Mine tiny dealer with 17 orders and 1 allocation so far and they have been pretty much flawless. Oder transfer, order process, build schedule, delay update, order changes all good to go. I think dealers in general focus on what they have to sell that day or 30-60...
  11. We get the 10R60 not the 10R80 transmission

I've driven the Terminator, current Mustang GT, Mustang GT350, and current Mustang Mach 1. I didn't have an issue driving the Terminator. It's not difficult to drive. The Viper actively tries to kill you though. Vipers do actively try and kill you. When I worked in insurance claims Vipers were...
  12. We get the 10R60 not the 10R80 transmission

Well that's something, but I don't know that it screams cover up, it was an engineer talking about the transmission over a year ago, not Ford specifying it and then changing. He very well could have just misspoke. I wonder why they changed (if they did)? I guess we still don't even know if they...
  13. Transfer Case Manufacturer?

I believe it is Borg Warner and is either the same or designed similarly to the Raptor transfer case. https://www.sae.org/news/2020/03/ford-raptor-unique-front-driveline
  14. Neighbor just bought a 392 wrangler

If you are going to go by internet reported problems, you would never buy a Jeep 😀 I have read through some of the issues and several of the reports are rental companies or other one off issues. Not that it doesn’t have issues, I just wouldn’t qualify the current information as definitive, for...
  15. We get the 10R60 not the 10R80 transmission

I don’t think anyone knows enough to say Ford is deceiving anyone. I can’t find anywhere that they claim it’s anything other than a 10sp (no claims it was the “60” or “80”.I am also not concerned about the shifting properties. Not that it can’t be bad, but my experience and opinion already...
  16. Neighbor just bought a 392 wrangler

OK, what I said is tuners are getting around 400 HP and 500lb ft of torque with no other mods. With higher ethanol tunes and simple bolt ons, they are getting over 500HP and 550+ lb ft of torque. 400+ HP and 500 lb ft of torque, using a Badlands for comparison would likely be very close 0-60 and...
  17. We get the 10R60 not the 10R80 transmission

I am curious to see if they spec a different transmission based on power train or model. It does seem odd to put it in a 2.7 powered vehicle with 35” tires and not in a 800lb lighter Ranger with 30” tires. (Tow rating maybe being the reason).
  18. SPOTTED: Antimatter Blue Base Sasquatch 4 Door at MAP today

Nice job, the base looks very cool! Note the soft top, damn you Wabasto………
  19. Neighbor just bought a 392 wrangler

In the ballpark at 400 HP give or take and roughly the same torque (500 lb ft). Assuming roughly the same weight as the F150, it’s not unusual to see low 13s or high 12s in the 1/4 mile with otherwise stock motors in those trucks. The Fusion Sports really fast guys seem to add additional bolt...
  20. Neighbor just bought a 392 wrangler

I am not sure we know which transmission it will use or what the difference is , but it wouldn’t be my biggest concern. They have been running the powertrain for a few years, so hopefully good to go. I am willing to bet whatever issues come up, they are generally less than the Jeep (I have owned...
