Granger Motors Bronco Pricing and clarifications for the masses

Man, my sales guy is a friend I've known for 20 years but I'm debating hard about making this switch with X-Plan off the table. I'm in the KC area so it's a drive to Oklahoma or a drive to Iowa in my future either way.

    2021 Jeep Rubicon.... Price Comparison

The 392 is in the biggest trouble. Why it wasn't offered in the new Ram 1500. Also likely only a year or two left in the Challenger/Charger. V8s in general across all platforms are going to become increasingly restricted to meet fleet averages.

    2021 Jeep Rubicon.... Price Comparison

The 392, if it happens, is likely to be one model year only. It's about to be regulated out of existence due to emissions. Throwing a Hemi at things is the only trick FCA knows and they're cashing in before they're screwed.

Is anyone else waiting for Cactus Gray with Black Top / Next to Area 51 Black Top (Badlands with 33”)?

With the rumored shortage and delay on modular tops it's not surprising to me that all we're seeing right now is MIC tops. Even the Wildtrak a few weeks back had one instead of the mod top. They're not using them up for testing purposes. It'll be interesting to see when we'll actually see more...

Let’s have the discussion... what’s the point of the warthog?

So...let me get this straight. A 3.5L Ecoboost is acceptable but a 3.0L Ecoboost is not? Even though the 2.7/3.0L is a more modern design built from the ground up with features inspired by diesel blocks to handle massive boost reliably while the 3.5L was based on an N/A motor that they happened...

Let’s have the discussion... what’s the point of the warthog?

Because there's nothing wrong with mild hybrids? It's 2020, not 1970. The V8 is going the way of the dodo bird. It's time to accept it. They're going to have a helluva time keeping one in the Mustang and F-150 for much longer. FCA is throwing 392s in everything because they are a few years from...

Let’s have the discussion... what’s the point of the warthog?

The hybrid version of the 3.0L is just shy of 500hp and 600 lb/ft of torque. That's doing serious work son. And being based on the same block as the 2.7L it would be a lot less engineering work than trying to fit in the 3.5L or Coyote.

Is the Bronco wrong for me?

Mine is roughly the same. If it's mostly highway it's not so bad. Gives you some time to clear your mind going into and out of work. I've been doing it for a little over 6 years in my Camaro SS.

Photoshop - ROOF top tent on two door

I'm looking at a soft shell RTT rather than a hard shell. Even a "queen size" only requires about 6 feet of roof length and opens up from 6'x4' to 6'x8'ish. Set up on those is only a few minutes more than a hard shell but a ton more room. Roof top tents are awesome if you're road tripping where...

    Color matched hard tops

Without a doubt, a body colored top is my #1 preference. I've never been a huge fan of tops that don't match the rest of the body. I hate the way it breaks up the visuals. Doesn't matter if they were white, gray, black or any other non matching color. Unpainted plastic ones just look cheap...

Will your Bronco be your first manual vehicle?

Learned to drive a stick in the family 1980 Ford Pinto. I'd probably have gone with the stick if it had been offered with the V6 if for no other reason than to avoid the upcharge of the auto. But autos have come a long ways so I'm not too upset about it.

Official Update: Bronco Reservation Move Cutoff Date (Jan 31) + 2021MY Allocations Cutoff Date (Sep 18) + 2022 MY Reservation Start Date

My only concern with this is if, and only if, they add a few colors or options we've been begging for in the 22 MY. They kind of alluded to that being a possibility for those later on the reservations list. Perhaps that was mentioned with this move in mind.
