I found the perfect road trailer for a Bronco.
I guarantee it isn't above towing capacity. 😁
This is a Time Out pop-up camper made to be small and light enough to be hauled behind a touring motorcycle.
Under 400 pounds, queen size bed, some storage inside while folded, and the whole living...
Finally got the tire and wheel upgrade done.
Stroppe edition wheels, in white instead of black and a set of Arroyo Tamarock RTs in 35x12.50/R17.
The tires seem well regarded in the Toyota circles, and I have seen how those guys like to spend money. 😁
They balanced easy, no shake or vibration...
We are 2 weeks out.
Who is going?
What are you planning on doing?
Right now it looks like highs in the 70s lows around 50 and of course occasional rain.
Caryn and I will be there all week with Scarlett, staying in Townsend.
If you see us, say hi!
Looking over the Bronco today, and with the bump in lift it got from my 4 door Wildtrak takeoffs... I am thinking that 37s MIGHT be able to fit.
I would have to do something about the front mudflaps.
Thoughts?
I swapped out the Hoss 2.0 shocks on my Heritage 2 door manual last September for a set of Hoss 3.0 from a 4 door Wildtrak.
Since then I have taken it on road trips, some crawling, a lot of commuting.
I noticed the improvement immediately.
This week while out on a back road I saw a set of...
Scarlett rolled 50k miles on the way home today.
She is a commuter, road tripper, trail runner, mud and creek splasher, and occasional show pony.
Original reservation holder, ordered for 21, reordered for 22-23.
The 3 initial orders were for a base 2 door manual, added Sasquatch in 22 and...
Just for the rear, wanting to get a slight bit of take back after my Hoss 3.0 suspension swap.
When loaded up and/or towing I don't care for the squat.
Any recommendations?
As the title asks, if you install lift springs or porch collars... How much can you go up till you get out of the soft ride zone of the shocks?
I have the factory Wildtrak Fox suspension from a 4 door on my 2.3 manual 2 door Heritage Edition.
I know with the factory Wildtrak, the lower control...
Swapped a set of 4 door Wildtrak Fox takeoffs onto my 23 2 door manual Heritage Edition.
As I hoped, they compensated for the winch and plate up front.
However it is slightly nose high now. 🤦
As least the rear shocks are easier to deal with than the fronts.
Just finished the initial install of my Mini.
Used the Turn Off-Road overhead molle panel, side brackets flipped upside down.
Used an Amazon magnet mount to hold it to the molle, and there is room to remove it without unbolting anything.
Power for it is from the rear 12V port going into a...
Yes, I love my Bronco enough to commission some art. 🤣
As a kid, I grew up reading CarToons magazine, and loved seeing the artwork of Dave Deal in it.
There is an artist on Instagram, stc_doodles, that has a bit of Dave's style, so I reached out to him.
So now I have a new drawing for stickers...
My wife and I were out shopping, and a random stranger walked up.
"Hey, I love your Bronco!"
And wandered off.
I have no idea how he knew it was our Bronco...
Since it looks like Ford is releasing a Stroppe Edition for 25, let's have a place for these special rigs and for those that love the Stroppe Baja Broncos.
To start, here is Scarlett.
She is a 23 Heritage Edition manual.
Wrap done by CGS Vinyl in Pelham AL.
Picked up Scarlett, my Heritage manual 2 door, from getting it's wrap today.
I think it came out pretty good.
Now for the badging, decals, and figuring out the spare tire cover.
Searched but couldn't find an answer.
Does anyone have a place to get custom fender badges made?
Looking to get my bronco's name, Scarlett, done as a fender badge is as close to the original bronco script as possible.
Thanks
1205 days after placing our reservation, she finally showed up in Alabama... while we were on vacation in Maine. 🤣
Immediately returned to the motel, packed up, and started driving south.
This was Wednesday afternoon, we arrived at the dealership just before 10 on Friday.
Meet Scarlett!
