  1. Soft Top Wearing Through After 4 Weeks

They compete well with Toyota in africa/Australia with the Everest.

  3. Anyone wish Ford kept a traditional tailgate design? Think they will bring it back?

Above pictured Ranger. I set as far right as I could without blocking the right hand tail lamp viability to reduce stress on the bumper and carrier while off road.
  4. Anyone wish Ford kept a traditional tailgate design? Think they will bring it back?

I offset mine, mine sits a little higher in the back window than a Bronco but offset really helps the rearward visibility. Less leverage on the hinges too.
  5. Anyone wish Ford kept a traditional tailgate design? Think they will bring it back?

I literally have that very setup on my Ranger. I built the rear bumper and tire carrier myself. I do not open the tailgate often. To set a bag of dog food or groceries in the back the tailgate is a non issue. I just swing the spare out of the way, open the rear glass and set it over the...
  6. Anyone wish Ford kept a traditional tailgate design? Think they will bring it back?

It is already a two step process. You have to open the swingout door with the tire on it to open the back glass (hardtop) So if you want to just set your groceries in the back it is the same exact process but instead of opening the bottom door you swing out the tire. Never heard of anybody...
  7. Anyone wish Ford kept a traditional tailgate design? Think they will bring it back?

That is how I do it for my Ranger with a topper and spare tire swingout, no need to open the tailgate for little crap. I like my tailgate, having not been around the Bronco door yet I can't really comment but having a place to set things and work on things and to sit is very handy to have. And...
  8. What's your tipping point?

Sometime next year I might start pushing the wife to think about moving on. I am getting tired of working on her car and at this rate assuming we get it early next year it will be crowding 300k miles. We are a November reservation so that is about when I was planning on getting it when we...
  9. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

And I was just giving an example of why I have little to no faith in their company.
  10. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

The Ranger/Mazda B-Series and Explorer/Mazda Navajo were the same. Everything they hated about the Ford they loved about the Mazda. Amazing the difference a different front clip can make...
  11. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

I don't have a whole lot of faith in CR anyway. And what is the chart even of? Just total warranty claims or what? A dome light bulb is not quite on the same level as say transmission failures.
  12. Drag Race by TFL: Bronco First Edition 2.7L vs. Jeep Wrangler 4XE vs. Toyota FJ

No, they reduce the loss but there is still a loss in power.
  13. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

IMO some sort of a Death Star reactor failure grade weird chain of events started by something simple. I have had enough wheelspin before in snow to make the computer think a wheelspeed sensor was going out and to throw the ABS/TC lights on and neuter both systems. It should have never cut the...
  14. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

Every truck in my fleet has the intake mounted about headlight high... which is usually higher than the intake on a VW buggy without open tires to fling sand literally right beside the engine. VW exhaust is for looks, they do that stinger thing on street cars too. Farm equipment usually has...
  15. Updated 7/29 [Engine Seized, Full Replacement Under Warranty] My Bronco shut down after sand dunes run

Not really, sand isn't as big of a deal as mud. People build 2wd buggies out of Volkswagon Beetles to play in sand, it is different but not really that big of a deal. If a offroad vehicle mechanically can't take sand because of intrusion it is going to struggle with water and gravel dust...
  16. TFL Car gets a Cyber Orange FE

Ford does do longer term loaners for media people too. Usually they call it out as such though.
  17. Broken front axle at CV joint on my Bronco Badlands 4-Door 2.7L

I forgot the Bronco has the POS pressed together unit wheel bearings like a newer Ranger and most modern things. My F-150 has the POS bolt on unit wheel bearing assemblies.
  18. Broken front axle at CV joint on my Bronco Badlands 4-Door 2.7L

My F-150 has big flanges on each side of the front diff the half shafts bolt to. It's the only thing with cv shafts I have played with.
  19. Broken front axle at CV joint on my Bronco Badlands 4-Door 2.7L

In theory you could probably just remove it and limp out in 2wd. Pretty sure I could just pull a front shaft out of my F-150 provided I have the big socket on hand (yeah right) for the nut on the hub. Most probably will just turn the radio up and limp it out with the shaft in place. Extended...
