  1. Brakes? Nobody talking about the Bronco brakes...

We really need to know the GVWR. I didn't see it in the specs.
  2. Sound System Upgrade Question

What exactly is the difference if you upgrade to the B&O. Is it outlined in another thread?
  3. Bronco has less ground clearance than a Jeep Renegade

Other front tire is dropped (like driver rear). Sway bars are after market (Currie Antirock).
  4. Bronco has less ground clearance than a Jeep Renegade

Depends on the sway bar. Sway bar attached front and rear 👹:
  5. Granger Motors Bronco Pricing and clarifications for the masses

@Granger Ford On the B&P page I have your zip set up but they are showing a different dealer: Even though the "Find a Dealer" tool shows you to be closest:
  6. Bronco has less ground clearance than a Jeep Renegade

YES! My Jeep is ~10" at the front axle with 33" tires and it's 18" at the center skid under the transfer case. If it had 30 tires then I would be at about 8.5". If it were 10" from front to rear it would be WAY less capable (crappy break-over angle). To that end, a better metric than just...
  7. Announcement: MIC Hardtop Option Only Initially. Black Painted Modular Hardtop Will Be Late Availability

I can only imagine what shipping and handling would be on the modular hard top. I would guess somewhere north of $500....
  8. Ground clearance

Breakover is basically related to ground clearance at the skids. All these items are important in different situations. Not having things to hang you up under the rig is important in rocks. You can often "bump" things over front and rear diff or rear suspension components. The rear diff on my...
  9. Additional Ford Deposit

Ask your dealer for a photo of the requirement on Ford letterhead and/or the phone number of the regional sales rep so you can verify that Ford is requiring this of all dealers.
  10. Let’s have the discussion... what’s the point of the warthog?

If they produce a rig that can actually handle 37" tires - 35 spline axle shafts, beefy suspension and lots of travel (14+") it will be huge for people who want KOH styled rigs. I've been wanting a street legal KOH (ish) car since the first year they started the races :-)
  11. Official Update: Bronco Reservation Move Cutoff Date (Jan 31) + 2021MY Allocations Cutoff Date (Sep 18) + 2022 MY Reservation Start Date

I would guess a day 3 reservation would be fantastic anywhere. See if she will give up your place in her reservation book. If you really trust and like the dealer then I would start with them for guidance. Seems like you have 2+ months to make a change (until things change again). I'd hate...
  12. Official Update: Bronco Reservation Move Cutoff Date (Jan 31) + 2021MY Allocations Cutoff Date (Sep 18) + 2022 MY Reservation Start Date

I think Ford requiring any non-refundable deposit, especially after establishing that they cannot keep promises (eg "tweaking" the reservation model), would make FCA very happy.
  13. SAS-MATCH PACKAGE?

    Get them painted after delivery.
  14. Sway Bar disconnect option (aftermarket or factory) for Wildtrak?

Sway bar disconnects aren't the only solution to good off-road articulation. I have a Currie Anti-Rock on my Jeep and the rig is very stable and predictable on trails with somewhat more lean when turning on the road.
  15. Official Update: Bronco Reservation Move Cutoff Date (Jan 31) + 2021MY Allocations Cutoff Date (Sep 18) + 2022 MY Reservation Start Date

I think this used to be true, but it now longer is. If you dealer is allocated 500 rigs but has 501 reservations and yours is #501 then you will be bumped to MY 2022. If the person with #50,000 is with some other dealer with an allocation of 5,000 rigs and they are in line at 5,000 at that...
  16. Spotted: Bronco Warthog marked as "Warthog" by Ford engineers

The rear end photo has a Panhard bar and a removable diff cover. I'd really like to know if there's going to be a model with 35 spline axles, more travel etc. That would be worth a good premium....
  17. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

I sent an email to my local dealers with no reply or no commitment to any level of pricing (including MSRP). Grainger replied within 24 hours. Grainger has nothing to gain by screwing people over. No-one is going to close a deal with them unless the terms are locked in beforehand. I have the...
  18. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

That diagram doesn't make sense to me. If I've added pre-load the the right spring then at ride height it should be compressed more than the one on the left. The right spring "sees" more weight. The pre-load plus the weight of the car.... I admit it could be just me getting confused... help me...
  19. sasquatch on badlands really worth it?

Good point. If the spring "bottoming out" is the compression limit, then you're also giving up travel to gain some height with this approach. Correct?
