Makes sense. I was thinking about it mainly in terms of the number of connections that could fail. Weld to frame vs. receiver/frame, hitch pin, etc. And you know the factory recovery point is rated to recover the vehicle. But the dynamic forces of a kinetic recovery are a lot different from...
Got a question for you on that.
I'm getting the tow package and I have a hitch-mounted shackle.
Pros and cons of recovering using the factory recovery point vs. the hitch-mounted shackle?
I get that the recovery point is secure to the frame vs. the hitch shackle which has an additional...
That would make sense if the new top was still being produced at a low rate that made supply a limiting factor. Then building new Broncos with a hard top would delay when you get yours off DM.
But if they have enough tops to cover all the replacements and still build more - with the limiting...
Think it's been fairly clear for a while now that there was never a FIFY plan.
And they've also made it clear that production was continuing while DM rigs were getting tops replaced and inspected.
Are you certain this newly built Bronco actually has a 2.0 roof, or is that just an assumption...
I originally had my reservation with Future of Sacramento. Couldn't get them to commit on pricing early on, and communication was terrible. Switched over to Serramonte and very pleased with them so far.
Highly doubtful this is 2.0 at all. The idea that it could be seems to be based on a dealer assumption and the fact that it was just delivered. No telling how long it was in transit, and it's a dealer mannequin anyway. No reason they couldn't continue to ship the MIC 1.0 on...
Curious if these ACC relocation brackets have actually been tested to verify the ACC still works properly.
Don't really understand putting a bank of lights right where they could have easily left an opening for the ACC - when there are so many other places you can put lights.
Thanks @[email protected]!
Good info. Still amazes me how many people think their order date matters.
Personally, I would go through the whole order process with your dealer again, even if what you want is not changing.
First, we know some things are changing for some trims (like HD Modular bumper...
Really hard to tell based on this render.
At first glance it looks like a soft top. Not seeing any panels, so that is a big limiting factor on its own. And I won't buy anything that has its name plastered all over the rear glass.
I'll wait for photos of an actual product and some reviews.
To your knowledge, had they actually charged anyone for damage?
From what I've read about the other locations, it sounds like unless you do something really stupid that seriously damages the vehicle they weren't charging anyone. Certainly not for cosmetic scrapes and such.
Seems really odd...
This stuff actually looks really good. I like the look of the door sill protectors better than the factory options. I realize it's a vinyl, but it almost seems like it has a bit of a texture to it. Or am I just seeing things?
The rear brake light vinyl is a nice touch. Also curious if it...
Personally, I'm not remotely interested in the carbon look, but I would like to see some fenders along the lines of the SEMA build.
While I do like the look of the fastback, I just cannot get behind sacrificing the interior space for that look. I'd go either slanted or OEM.
