Thanks everyone for the answers. I'm going to see about the possibility of a leather-to-mgv switch. I would lose the cup holders in the middle seat pull-down, but I'd much prefer the easier winter-slush cleanout. Since I have a VIN (but no date email) though, it may not be possible.
I think part of the reason Ford released this is because GM is soon coming out with their GMC Hummer EV which is designed to handle 37s and has a crazy-powerful motor. This still can't compete with that, but from Ford's perspective at least it's news.
Seems like consensus is the engine will be...
This is my ski bus in the winter, so it will get lots of snow and mud on the floor even while the seats stay clean. I didn't need "wash out" so much as "rinse out". That would have been fantastic.
It sounds like I will need to get a bunch of weathertech then. Oh well.
Badlands comes with either MGV or leather trim. I just read at Ford.com that if you get the leather trim, your flooring will be carpet instead of the rubber. Can anyone confirm?
This was something I didn't see in the Bronco configurator, but only just came across in the details about the...
So... what if Ford discovered that they no longer need to replace all existing roofs before [they] can make any new hardtop Broncos?
What if they developed a new capability - like making MIC 2.0 hard tops faster than they can process them at DM? Or some constraining factor such as available...
Different theory on the skinny tires in the alleged hybrid described by fordauthority. Those skinny tires keep those wheels inside the wheel wells with almost no fender flare. They also likely get much better mileage than M/T 35s or 37s. And this vehicle was heading to EPA for testing. So...
You DID see where I'm from, right? I used to drive my '95 D90 in the winter, including DC-to-NY holiday trips.
No thank you!
The MIC keeps out the snow, slush and cold. The rack holds my skis. If I didn't want both I would have had my Bronco back in July.
Hey - at least you got bumped to something. I started as a build week of 6/14, went through several delays to 9/27, and now am in limbo for MY21 / MY22.
I don't begrudge you getting yours built. I just wish mine was too.
I think I may be one of a handful of customers whose orders have not yet been built, do not have a revised build date yet, but received an email stating that Ford expects we will get a MY21 after they cancelled a September 27 build date, and that Ford would let us know in early October. My first...
My other car is a convertible. At one point, I had to drive from SF to LA contemporaneous to some forest fires. Putting the top up and having that cabin air filter was what made the air breathable.
Also for that car, the owners manual goes on and on about how you can one-touch raise the...
Build dates so far:
6/14 (notified 4/15 with VIN)
7/5 (notified 5/22)
7/26 (notified 6/26)
8/23 (notified 6/26, later that day)
8/30 (notified 6/28)
9/27 (notified 8/7)
TBD (notified 8/13): told to expect more notification in early October and that they expect I will get a MY21.
I have a VIN...
I was considering that same Bronco/4Xe vehicle throw-down. Signed up for a Bronco back in 8/2020, but saw the 4Xe coming out and got a chance to try it this spring. Based on your assessment, I can only conclude that the one I tried must have been broken.
First, the steering had this very...
Wow that looks really sharp!
When I was researching my order, I actually wanted the metallic on the BL instead of the black on the WT. But now that I've seen what you've done, I'm questioning that choice.
