Competition is good for the consumer.
You are getting the lift, larger tires and regearing.
Pricing wise it's equivalent to the Bronco. $5790 to add SAS to a Base
SAS is $1790 more on the Bronco which includes lockers. Dividing by 2 equals $895 per locker.
This past weekend I helped judge a rock crawling competition and a Samurai with a spring under leaf spring suspension and 37s smoked it's class. That thing was amazing and crawled over everything. It was the only vehicle to finish the course I was assigned to.
I ran an aftermarket cab top on my jeep for close to a decade with it parked outside on the driveway and it held up fine. I just used a Snowbroom to pull off the snow, and if it was a crazy storm, I would go out numerous times to make sure it never accumulated too much...

I don't think it's a good choice with matching fenders or on the moar door.
