  1. Off-Roading Bronco Badlands - Learn from my wheeling mistakes!

What skid plates are these? These look like what I’m going to want for my basquatch.
  2. NO Compensation for wait.

Not sure those estimates are pessimistic enough. There are many day 1 hardtop res holders that are now Q1/2 2022, I'm a day 3 res and I'm just hoping to see mine before the end of next summer at this rate.
  3. News: 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Will Get Soft Top Standard in MY22

Welcome to the club, there are many first day 2 door reservation holders that won’t see theirs until next year. I’m a 7/15 2 door reservation holder and I’m just hoping to see mine before the end of next summer at this rate 🤣
  4. News: 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Will Get Soft Top Standard in MY22

Very true, I’d be ecstatic if they reversed on the 2 door also.
  5. News: 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Will Get Soft Top Standard in MY22

I concur, I would take my Bronco and throw an aftermarket top on it in a heartbeat, but I just don’t see Ford doing that.
  6. News: 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Will Get Soft Top Standard in MY22

Doesn't help if Ford won't sell me a 2 door because they can't put a hardtop on it. They've already said they won't offer a soft top on the 2 door, and there's no way they'll ship it with no top at all, so that means I can't get a 2 door bronco to put the soft top on....
  7. News: 2022 Bronco Wildtrak Will Get Soft Top Standard in MY22

So, this seems to imply that hardtop issues will extend well into next year, does that mean 2 doors are going to be vaporware until 2023? If so I'll go buy a jeep and trade it in whenever the bronco becomes actually available.
  8. Bronco vs Wrangler: Which is best? (MotorTrend)

Regardless of any other features, the Bronco is definitely better for tall people though, in Jeep’s my head is above the roll bar, so in a rollover I’d be dead. The Bronco I’m at least slightly below the roll bar, that alone makes the case for me.
  9. Curious Why it Seems so Many People Want a Manual Trans?

that’s fair. My current truck is pretty spry with the 2.7, which makes me want to go that way, but I’m not too sure about the 10 speed (mine has the 6r80) One of my last Broncos was manual and was similar. It’s less about situations in 4 low, but just the convenience of having a granny low...
  10. Curious Why it Seems so Many People Want a Manual Trans?

It’s entirely possible this will be the last gas car I buy, so the manual just exemplifies that for me. compared to the 2.7 auto it is also almost 200 lbs less over the front axle, and a lot less stuff underneath to snag on things (plus no plastic transmission pan). for the kind of off roading...
  11. Painful (but responsible) solution to MIC issue decided. Announcement imminent.

This is kind of my feeling. In no small part driven by the fact that when I sit in a Jeep my head is above the rollbar…. outside of Jeep and the Bronco, there aren’t really any other competitors in the segment I care about.
  12. Rough Country 2” lift on 4 door Base Bronco, with 35s on 18” Fuel wheels

Thanks for sharing this! That’s some awesome in depth info!
  13. Rough Country 2” lift on 4 door Base Bronco, with 35s on 18” Fuel wheels

Found the source of the sticker saying the manual transmission (mti550) is built in the USA. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/antimatter-blue-2-3l-badlands-4-door-manual-delivered.18597/post-674358
  14. 4WP Bronco Program Official Launch. Accessories / Parts Catalog and Pricing Are Here.

Ah, it's in the picture, that's why I didn't find it with a search, thanks!
  15. Rough Country 2” lift on 4 door Base Bronco, with 35s on 18” Fuel wheels

I disagree, so long as you don't add a locker to it. In fact I did a detailed examination on this very topic. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/stock-190mm-front-axles-tough-enough-to-turn-35s.2599/post-83679 Here's an excerpt "Tl;dr. If you blow the differential or axle shafts, it...
  16. Rough Country 2” lift on 4 door Base Bronco, with 35s on 18” Fuel wheels

I was able to track down only one post saying they saw a USA origin sticker for it, and not much else.
  17. 4WP Bronco Program Official Launch. Accessories / Parts Catalog and Pricing Are Here.

Where did you see that sticker? I'm trying to chase this down and verify where the transmission is made and I am not having much luck 😅
  18. Didn’t get Mod Front Bumper and Regretting it!

I had the same dilemma, but once I realized the mod bumper didn’t come with more than just the front skid plate, I removed it from my order. Can get the 4wp bumper and front skid plate for only a few hundred more than the mod bumper option and have a much stronger bumper with a real bull bar.
  19. I don’t want to worry 2DR buyers but this doesn’t look good.

Neither my 96 nor my 89 (with 180k+ and ~250k miles respectively) ever leaked either.
