  1. Please teach me how to Bronco

    SAS tires are 12.4"
  2. Mic 2.0 different colors?

Ford and the dealership need to do something. Whether that 'something' is a whole new top, or a coating to apply a consistent color is the question.
  3. Saw this for sale

There are a small number of idiots chasing a smaller number of Broncos! :ROFLMAO:
  4. Saw this for sale

The average NFL player is broke 2 years after his playing days are over. Yes, there are people out there with more money than sense.
  5. Fuel Economy For 2-Door, 2.3, Auto Sasquatch

A modern 10 speed automatic should be better. Manual is really about the driving experience.
  6. Upgraded Audio?

You can do a lot to improve them. Jeeps have been around for many years and similar principles apply. A powered subwoofer will dramatically improve the bass. The drivers in factory installs (even "premium" systems are usually junk.
  7. Base Audio Upgrade and Forscan

It's a shame that these factory head units don`t include an easily accessible set of pre-amp outputs.
  8. Fuel Economy For 2-Door, 2.3, Auto Sasquatch

Yep. It's a mix of factors.
  9. Dealer wants 15k over sticker now that my bronco arrived

Escalating this to the dealer owner is the way to go. You may find that escalating to the dealer management itself will get the sales department to back down. From some of the stories on this forum, the owners of some of these dealerships have no clue what BS that their slimy sales people are...
  10. Local dealer has 2dr Badlands for $80K

A fool and their money are soon parted....
  11. Tennessee Selling Badlands SAS wheels and tires

I think it really depends on how well the Goodyears wear. If people need to swap them out after 25K miles, the tires won't be worth much. The wheels should be valuable, though.
  12. Fuel Economy For 2-Door, 2.3, Auto Sasquatch

I think the weight of the vehicle is a fairly small component. if you eliminate all other factors, a wider tire creates more resistance. The weight difference of the tires is pretty small (around 100 lbs on a 5,000 lb vehicle). Here's a visual. The 12.4" Sasquatch tire vs. the 10" base.
  13. 2.3 Shaping up to be the better Engine?

Based on some quick calcs off the Ford website, the automatic transmission adds 20 lbs vs. the manual and the 2.7 adds 170 lbs vs. the 2.3. This is less than 5% of the vehicle weight. The 2.7 provides about 10% boost in horsepower and over 20% increase in torque. The gas mileage hit is about 10%...
  14. Fuel Economy For 2-Door, 2.3, Auto Sasquatch

I think the way to look at it is the amount of rubber that makes contact with the road. Think about a bicycle tire. A road bike has skinny tires while a mountain bike has fat tires. You have to pedal the mountain bike much harder on pavement to keep up with someone on a road bike. The...
  15. All-New Ford RANGER Revealed! New Bronco Competition From Within Ford

But will it come with 35" tires and HOSS suspension? :ROFLMAO: I do like the boxier styling. I think Ford has enough problems cranking out the current style Broncos to consider a Gladiator rival. Making a better Ranger with beefier off road suspension options seems like the wiser near term option.
  16. Fuel Economy For 2-Door, 2.3, Auto Sasquatch

Just speculating here: the weight of the Sasquatch shouldn't be significant, but the width of the tire (more resistance), the gearing, and the taller stance (worse aerodynamics) will all hit your MPG.
  17. Found someone’s Bronco

Area 51 MIC in Virginia. Six months from now it could be mine!
  18. No wonder it's loud - yuuuge gaps in the clam shell seals!

Some people have reported that their Dirt Mountain replacements were only the ones in the front, not the rear section (apparently there are production lot stamps on each piece). Also, it could be just a sloppy install of the rear section. The dealer should remove the rear and carefully...
  19. Any week 1 reservation holders still holding the bag?

Seems like the common theme is MICS. All 2-doors are in that boat. Early reservation doesn't seem to mean a whole lot now that the 2022 dealer allocation formula is in play. I reserved in June 21, ordered in Oct 22. I read a recent build post from a guy who's build was similar to mine except...
