    i took a 2000 honda crv all over the western states. it was packed to the brim. 146hp 133 lb/ft torque. you'll be okay in the 2.3l. and yes im doing the same with the 2.3l

    that's not bad, if the getrag starts crapping out outside of warranty i would do that and keep the 2.3l, mod it and run it until that dies as well

    If it breaks in 5 years who cares right, just put in one that can handle higher torque and hp? That’s kind of what I’m thinking of doing, and then in the future putting in a v8. But if you had to guess, how much would that cost to put in a stronger manual?

    5,000 seems fine to me as well. and that certainly does not include the price of the auto. got to select 2.3 or 2.7 auto first then add the 5k to that
