my only hesitation with the manual is Ford isn’t offering it with the 2.7. Initially I struggled with making a decision but to me a vehicle like the Bronco just screams for a manual transmission. It’s purpose is fun and engagement and having a manual transmission IS both of those things. Manual...
The top and doors come off, it comes with a manual transmission and isnt a Wrangler. There are no other choices for new vehicle with these features.
If Toyota made a removable top manual 4Runner or FJ again, I would def be interested
Welcome. I had an 07 STi and currently a modified Flex Fuel 2011 STi. Really fun cars! Hope you like your 2020.
I’m a Toyota fan as well but I would go with The Bronco over the Sequoia unless you need to tow. The top and doors come off, there will be endless aftermarket, it comes with lockers...
exactly same here. It’s my 3rd car. I have an ultra comfy loaded Camry hybrid XLE for daily duty and an 11 STi which is not comfy but fun to drive. Bronco will be weekends on the beach, surf fishing.
if it was my only car, I would probably go BD or BL
Went from Badlands to Black Diamond now to Basemansquatch. I do like the MGV seats but will settle for some Wet Okle or similar waterproof or water resistant seat covers and can probably remove carpet for a washout floor. I can’t pass up on the value of the 2 Dr Basemansquatch, @ about $38k OTD.
my wife learned to drive manual in an old CJ and her uncle told her manual transmission makes it a “vehicle”, auto transmission is Just transportation. interesting perspective. I like purpose built “vehicles“ with a 3rd pedal.
It kills me that Ford didnt offer the 2.7 Manual but it would probably kill me more to be forced to drive an auto Bronco. A real sport transmission with paddle shifters might have changed my mind a bit but I have an Auto Camry Hybrid daily and its Boring.
2dr 2.3 Basemansquatch for me. 4.7...
In researching Bronco colors and the 2.3 Ecoboost, I ended up on the Mustang6g forums and eventually into the Shelby GT350 thread and have been having bad thoughts lol. I still want a Bronco, but for $50k, can get a very nice low mileage GT350. Amazing car. The GT500 is just too much.
